Posted to LetsTalkIBD (RE: Channel history) uploaded to You Tube 02/01/2023

I always find the explanations of IBD and ostomy topics on this channel easy to comprehend (I am not in a medical field or have IBD). I can believe that professionals use clips from this channel in their curriculum. However, I hope that all these uses are listed on a resume, as any payment for such content should be at a professional level.  Oddly enough, I cannot remember how I even found this channel. I guess a πŸ‘goes to that problematic You Tube algorithm, sometimes it works.

Posted to SpillSesh (RE: Paparazzi, Kardashians, etc.) uploaded to You Tube 02/01/2023

My only feelings on celebrity or anyone's photos is that along with the person who took the photos being tagged, for the sake of fans/followers, also list any alterations or filters used. Be clear about your process, whether you post yourself as a cat or add a "beauty" filter. Humanity has altered images of reality since cave drawings. Doubtful that anyone is stopping that habit any time soon. Although if your friends and family think that a wayward grad of Hogwarts has changed you into a cat, you have LOTS of other problems in your life to address.πŸ˜‰

Posted to SpillSesh (RE: Mikayla Nogueira--part 2) uploaded to You Tube 02/01/2021

May just be me, but I am liking her approach. She is continuing to show makeup techniques, acknowledges that she focuses on sponsored products and isn't trying to drag any other influencers into any drama. Plus her dramatic intro made me laugh. While I do not currently follow Mikayla Nogueira on any social media platform, I might start. I like self-mocking humor. Who knows, if her followers increase she might even revive the whole influencer showcasing makeup niche.

Posted to (RE: Twilight movie series) uploaded to You Tube 02/01/2023

Being an odd teen (who grew up into an even odder adult),  I was fine with the whole werewolf, vampire, human combo. My problem was that I did the math between the ages of Edward and Bella got creeped out so I never saw the movies in theaters. Of course the "baby's" appearance kind of sealed the deal of me being creeped out. I can now appreciate this series as party entertainment:  yelling at the screen, trying to count how many scenes Jacob's shirt came off and the hardest one of all, counting the scenes where Bella had a wide smile (think that it was a one-digit number).

Posted to Gold Shaw Farm (RE: Cattle and Environment) Uploaded to You Tube 02/04/2023

I always compliment these videos. This one was amazing. I will watch it multiple times. There are so many ideas, points to discuss and follow up. I took an environmental science course during my freshman year of college. I am afraid to say it was due to the facts that (1) I was closed out of my top choices due to scheduling and (2) class space was filled. I am even more afraid to admit that I may have snoozed through about half of the course. Apologies to my beleaguered past professors. Maybe now I can learn. Once hopes that others can also.

Posted to The Behavioral Arts (RE: Will Smith Interview with Trevor Noah) uploaded 02/05/2023

I agree with the behavioral analysis, I heard nothing new or relevant in this interview with Trevor Noah. Will Smith does not owe me anything personally. However I am with that cute little nephew, I simply want to know, "Why did you hit that man?". Will Smith is a gifted actor who should continue to act in films. He is also not doubt, a great father to his children and a great friend to those in his circle. On the evening of March 27 2022 Will Smith committed a crime that would imprison someone of less fame. He also disappointed many people. Unfortunately that momentary loss of control will trail him for quite a while.

Posted to Philip DeFranco (RE: News of the Day) Uploaded to You Tube 02/06/2023

A spy balloon almost seems like a contradiction in terms. This thing got more coverage than Elon Musk buying, then not buying, then buying a super popular social media site. This was not exactly a covert operation by China. I am surprised that "brain trusts" like Greene and Gosar did not indicate a new variant of COVID was somehow involved.

Posted to antphrodite (RE: Chinese Spy Balloon) Uploaded to You Tube 02/06/2023

This reading seemed spot-on. My admittedly limited knowledge of international politics leads me to agree that the wandering balloons (was there one in South America somewhere?) was a mistake. China has been playing the long game politically before this (the U.S.) country was "born". However sometimes being convinced of your own superiority allows things to get out of hand, such as a virus which I believe was accidental, when you do not listen to dissenting opinions in your own circle. Personally I thought the concept of a spy balloon was the best illustration of an oxymoron that I have heard! I mean it is all over my news feed and the subject of conjecture all over the world.

Posted to Dan Murrell (RE: Oscar Campaign Policies -- To Leslie) Uploaded to You Tube 02/09/2023

I was pleased to see that Dan Murrell did a long form video on this subject. The subject needs clarity. Ironically, this kerfuffle exposes the way that the well-financed studios can drive the process to their advantage and how the suits still do not understand the power of social media. Dan Murrell's proposed changes would allow indies to compete with blockbusters ($20k to upload their movie to the Oscar screening room, really get a better service provider Academy!) Poor Frances Fisher, she meant no harm, but should take that 1 year suspension with grace quickly. BTW, my guess on that unnamed executive/producer who in the 90's changed Academy campaigning rules was correct. It is an easy Google, that produced (pun not intended) one of those "he who shall not be named" individuals.πŸ˜‰

Posted to Emily D. Baker (RE: Day# 14 Alex Murdaugh Trial) Uploaded to You Tube 02/09/2023

The defense should say, "We stipulate that the defendant has stolen money from and lied to family, friends, his firm and clients. Now prosecution please present evidence of the defendant's guilt in this double murder." That would probably shorten the trial by weeks. I know, innocent until proven guilty, but I re-watched that interview in the car done soon after the bodies were reported by AM to 911 and it is damning.

Posted to Gold Shaw Farm (RE: Hunting) Uploaded to You Tube 02/11/2023

Hopefully some hunter association members will reach out to talk. I agree make it a livestream just to avoid future issues.

I do not like the idea of hunting, full disclosure I did not watch that part of this video, but I understand the concept of population control and the obvious need for providing food for oneself. Traditional hunting (on public lands or private if one has owner's permission) is necessary when the population in the wild has exceeded the environment's ability to compensate. I even agree with putting trackers on dogs as they could become injured/lost needing quick recovery. This should not mean that anyone can trespass with a tech-enhanced dog (seen that movie does not end well)onto private property. Perhaps it is just my seemingly nihilistic news feed, but everyone seems to be superglued to their viewpoints without seeing a middle ground.

I mean it could work...IF he is being honest about product quality, IF he can control his personal life, IF he can grow into a mature, empathetic adult. Who knows, stranger things have happened. However the internet is forever. His past will be brought up in every article about every product, the launch and his channel. This will not be an easy journey for James Charles.

Posted to Nicole Rudolph (RE: Modern High Heels) Uploaded to You Tube 02/11/2023

This video had lots of good hints for finding THE shoe. I do not know why they make models wear fantasy shoes. Unless you are a shoe supplier, you want to highlight the outfit not the footwear. However modeling issues is a whole different video. Wonder if there is a historical direction for a video on this? Guessing the 1800's were not the time for live modeling?

Since I did not have access to this video until this post, I have wasted lots of cash on shoes that seemed to fit and function for an hour or so, but then utterly epic fail by evening. My daily shoes are short zip up boots ("booties") with heels (not stiletto or narrow) between 2 - 2 1/2  inches. I have walked 2 miles in short boots without problems. As for dress shoes, I found that a slight platform of maybe 1/4 - 1/2 inch supports my foot comfortably in 2  3/4 - 3 inch heels. I have skinny feet, wonky ankles and out of proportion (they look huge to me) toes so obviously what is good for me won't work globally.

I apologize if this has been asked before, but Jason has an excellent sense of humor AND he can make jokes. In other words, he is capable of both reactive AND more importantly proactive behaviors. I know you two have been together forever, so was he always like this or is this a good way of him managing verbal interaction? Oh and you are so correct, music can (limited way of course) aid memory and cognition.

Posted to Growing Up In Scientology (RE: Scientology SuperBowl Commercial) Uploaded to You Tube 02/12/2023

The voiceover actor sounded a bit ominous, doesn't make me want to inquire further. However huge compliments to Planters' for making the most relevant meme I have seen in quite a while. As for commercial itself, the data presented is a bit vague much too abstract. When the print graphic appears indicating who created this video, then one can see that the whole lack of practical information and vacuous message is right in line with their cult.

QUERY:   Tom Cruise appears to be immortal (joke folks), however should he get on Elon's spaceship to Mars or suddenly get clarity and leave the group, what would Scientology do to replace him? Please tell me that no one in the U.S. House of Rep. or Senate or Supreme Court or any cabinet or military role is a member. On second thought, maybe I do not want to know.

Posted to Runkle Of The Bailey (RE: JASE case (antibiotics) Offer) Uploaded to You Tube 02/12/2023

Yes, I have been to many cons and been unusually lucky regarding illnesses. Ironically I went to a con maybe 2 or 3 days before my area was home to a superspreader event (this was the original COVID strain that was sending so many to hospitals and ventilators) which ironically began at a Biogen (nice planning guys) conference close to the con I attended. Never got a cold (or COVID). Went into quarantine about a week later and ate ice cream for about 5 months to keep calm.
While JASE seems like a good idea remember medication has expiration dates. For example amoxicillin capsules and tablets when stored properly will last approximately 2 years (per the internet). I did not check on the rest of the drugs mentioned. Oddly the prices are higher in Canada, thought you guys had better health care than the U.S.

Posted to Lawyer You Know (RE: Murdaugh Trial Day#14 ) Uploaded to You Tube 02/10/2023

Just a guess, but I wonder if the prosecution is trying to convince the jury that Alex Murdaugh is a sociopath as was suggested in this video. Hence that very detailed financial data. There probably cannot be a psych eval. so perhaps the prosecution is trying to show that Alex Murdaugh was more than capable to lie to friends, family, clients and co-workers without any indication to those people that he was lying. Who can lie without the body language, the dialogue or even the tone of his voice giving him/her/them away? Who can sound sincere, smile and be friendly all while lying? I did not get A levels in the abnormal psych course I took in college, but Alex Murdaugh seems to show pathology similar to a sociopath.

Posted to Dr. Todd Grande (RE: Follow-up School Shooting by 6 year old) Uploaded 02/12/2023

Ironic that in preserving the chain of command/authority to promote an orderly environment as Dr. Grande pointed out instead resulted in anarchy. One can only imagine what has happened in cases where there was no gun involved such as any student with behavioral issues or who was bullied. Every administrator at this school (were I on the school board I would reassess the entire district or that town will sink into debt paying civil suit judgements) should be fired or retrained before being allowed to re-apply for their previous job. All school administrators have shown by THEIR behavior a need for a remedial class on what is acceptable behavior at school and what is not.

If I understand this correctly it appears that Texas law is more protective of the individual investor/consumer regarding class action suits than California. I feel somewhat guilty for internally profiling these states as I had assumed it would be the opposite. Also, this is a warning to all of us, before you invest check out applicable local laws, along with of course thoroughly reading the proposal agreement regarding said investment. That being said, I can not even count the times that I have clicked "I agree" on an Apple update or purchase without reading through the terms and conditions. My immortal soul, may no longer legally be mine.πŸ™„

So an on-duty officer used his employer's gun, his employer's ammunition, his employer's property (the patrol car), on his employer's time AND did not have a hunting license. What the blank Canada, being clueless and lawless is our (U.S.) job.  Wasn't anyone else fired or punished? Seems that there had to be more guilty parties than just the negligent officer. Who authorized repair of the vehicle? How was the damage listed and explained? How was the missing ammunition explained to department heads as I assume that bullets just don't pick themselves up and depart?  BTW love the comment that the caribou left, as it was "the smarter one". Opinion sustained!πŸ˜‰

Posted to the Lawyer You Know Reacts to (RE: Lindsay Clancy - Insanity? )You Tube 02/12/2023

I would be interested in a limited coverage on the sanity/insanity portion of the trial, but not the details of this case for obvious reasons. This does sound like postpartum psychosis but as her youngest child was 8 months old, one would assume her deviation from normalcy would have been observable by people close to her (husband, physician, therapist). Of course this might have been a reaction to a recently prescribed drug. Rehab takes mental strength, dedication and purpose in order to work. As of the moment, she has none of those attributes. However, even if her broken body can be "repaired", if her broken brain returns to normalcy the realization of what she has done would be devastating.

Posted to Runkle of The Bailey (RE: Gun Shot Residue) uploaded to You Tube 02/14/2023

The lead prosecutor needs some time with HR. PLEASE do NOT touch the witnesses, unless they appear to be falling off that awkward chair. Interesting, I had never noticed that warning sign with the word "consistent" regarding the testimony of expert witnesses. I have heard that word innumerable times in past trials and never thought a thing about it. Thank you for the education.

Posted to Lets Talk IBD (RE: Spontaneity) uploaded to You Tube 02/14/2023

I went through a relatively short period (maybe one year) where due to treatments I was exhausted all the time and not very hungry. Some people knew why, most did not. I would just say "fine, just sleep deprived" to most queries. Blunt honesty is a bit too much for large groups containing mostly people who do not know you very well. You are not lying, actually you are helping with crowd control.πŸ˜‰    Obviously if you feel about to pass out, TELL SOMEONE.
As for cooking, I know most of us have budget restrictions, but just buy food to bring with you unless you can nap sufficiently. It is certainly easier than predicting how a chronic illness will be reacting at party time. Even easier if the party has a theme (maybe Mexico?) there is a certain taco place (no sponsors so no names) that is quite reasonably priced. . Also try to make this purchased food something you also can eat without metabolic repercussions. Spontaneity by definition is something fluid, fast moving with changes. Consequently it changes as we age, if we change employment, if we change/acquire partner, or even if we move. Not too much specifics, I know but I appreciate this question being raised as most medical personnel may not be in a position to give any advice so thank you.

Posted to antphrodite (RE: Balloons shot down) Uploaded to You Tube 02/17/2023

I guess beyond the Chinese balloon there have been another 3 smaller ones shot down. I only did a quick search, but while the U.S. government indicates non-lethal content there also isn't any identification of the origin of these 3 balloons at least according to this article (apologies if behind a paywall) https://www.nytimes.com/article/ufo-spy-balloons-china.html
The primary threat of these balloons appear to be for civilian aircraft and of course debris falling. I wonder if environmental activists are responsible for the 3 balloons? Perhaps their (activists') energy along with the methods used are influencing this reading?

Again, (as they don't always listen) celebrities PLEASE stay off social media. Whew, now I feel better...maybe.

Posted to Legal Vices (RE: Law & Crime analysis of the Murdaugh Trial) - You Tube 02/18/2023

I have watched some streaming feeds (without their commentary) from Law & Crime. I have never listened to their "experts" until this video. Sounds like I was not missing too much. A professional and thorough investigation by SLED might have eliminated AM as the accused in this trial or even as a co-conspirator (not the subject of the current trial).  Due to massive theft from clients, friends, co-workers and relatives and two unsolved murders the legacy of the Murdaugh family is now as material for true crime streaming movies, podcasts and maybe even criminal law classes, as in what not to do at a murder scene investigation.

That chart on cat relationships is not a joke (admittedly I did laugh). It is complex situation. And to make things even more complicated is if one cat is feeling off, as the cats age or even if there is the presence of an ("intact") male cat in the neighborhood that nifty chart can change radically. Add a kitten or new furniture to the household and the whole chart can flip and mix to become unrecognizable.  Full disclosure: my only expertise in domestic cat psychology comes from living with changing groups of cats since my childhood. Being able to read cat body language is basically a life skill if one wishes to reach adulthood without scars. πŸ˜‰

Posted to Legal Vices (RE: Change in RUST indictment) uploaded to You Tube 02/20/2023

Punishment should (but won't) be reserved for all the entities involved in limiting the budget in regards weapons, ammunition and all safety rules. I mean a PART-TIME armorer should be an oxymoron. Yes there obviously is guilt attached to all 3 listed in the original indictment, but this film had more dropped balls than a child's ball pit. What happened to Halyna Hutchins was easily avoidable and preventable had finances been better and management cared more. Ironically due to finances future movie insurers will probably be unwilling to cover a movie set without proper safety protocols in place and documented.

Posted to Lawyer You Know (RE: Change in RUST indictment) uploaded to You Tube 02/20/2023

Just a flippant guess, but I wonder if there was a vacation period at the special prosecutor's office? Perhaps adding a new law's scope of punishment to an old crime on an already filed indictment was set in motion by some first year's (law students) who were sleep-deprived? Also just a random thought, maybe the PR office of said special prosecutor's office also being on vacation, requisitioned some middle school students in need of a bump up in grades to be in charge of the press release regarding this "correction". Sorry, just trying to make sense of this mess. Hope the family of Halyna Hutchins gets justice and that this tragedy never happens again.

Posted to Emily D. Baker (RE: Counter Claim by tiktoker) Uploaded to You Tube 02/21/2023

I appreciate EDB's analysis of this situation. My brain also broke multiple times in reading this document. Most of this countersuit reads as if text books in a first year's (law student) got shredded and then reconstituted by an extraterrestrial which then was used as a template for this counterclaim. Bottom line the community of Moscow has suffered greatly. The professor is trying to get her life back. The Tiktoker appears to be trying to get a new life by becoming instantly famous or infamous, I do not believe this person cares which one...and that is why I sadly doubt that this will stop.

Any murder is horrific. The firepower inflicted on Maggie and Paul guaranteed no survival. Was AM capable, I believe yes. Was the investigation sloppy, inefficient and unprofessional, yes. I do not feel that the prosecution proved that to me (or to the jury) beyond a reasonable doubt that AM was the sole murderer. My prediction is that there will be no consensus regarding a conviction.
BTW, the laughing during proceedings is SO creepy and yet it continues to happen.

Dating can also be a nightmare for non-influencers of non-famous families, so I have a bit of empathy for Kendall. However, if Kendall were really smart she would find a friend with PR benefits. In other words appear to hang out with a very famous person while entering into a relationship with someone "normal". Yes this also sounds like a Lifetime movie, but how else can someone like Kendall Jenner date?

Posted to The Behavior Panel (RE: Chopper Read) Uploaded to You Tube 02/23/2023

Another vote here for an Alex Murdaugh analysis. His fame and success as a liar is now extremely well-documented. He even admits to it during his testimony. The Behavior Bureau could compare his behavior (which I feel was rehearsed, but that is to be expected) at this murder trial to any several older (older than June 7 2021) videos. He was an extremely famous (now infamous) person in his area so I would expect at least several local television interviews.

I love that opening statement, "You wear makeup for YOU." Even if I am to stay home all day with only my various animal roomies who never ever judge me (at least regarding makeup), I put on makeup. The process relaxes me and focuses me. Along with the appropriate amount of caffeine, makeup is part of my morning routine. I am not blind, but do have vision challenges (no depth perception) especially when applying mascara. I must hyper focus or I get a mascara'd cheek bone. Never a good look, unless it is October 31st.πŸ˜‰

Posted to the Attorney You Know (RE: Alex Murdaugh testifies) Uploaded to You Tube 02/23/2023

The attorneys of AM most likely made sure their client was well-rehearsed.  So continuity and consistency by AM does not surprise. QUESTION: Is "rehearsal" typical when a defendant testifies in their own defense? AM has proven he can cry on command. AM has also proven that he is an excellent liar with less than adequate ethics. Whether thanks to an ineffective investigation and/or the Murdaugh name, unfortunately doubtful that the jury will come back with a unanimous verdict of guilty.

For me watching this movie is a low bar (aka I have a Netflix subscription), so I will give it a try.  So many good people worked on this movie! Any studio execs, directors or producers should get tattoos prominently displayed on their forearms saying, "FIRST, make sure the script is ready to be filmed." Well maybe less verbiage, but my point is valid. Plus make sure your CGI budget is sufficient. I mean if Cocaine Bear can manage decent CGI, then ghost effects should be manageable.

While I feel that Alex Murdaugh is involved and/or knows who probably murdered Paul and Maggie Murdaugh, there is not enough forensic proof of guilt regarding the defendant, AM. Just being sarcastic, but after the jury is either deadlocked or votes for acquittal the defense's compliments should be relayed to SLED and local law enforcement. Defense could not have accomplished representing Murdoch so successfully without the inexpert behavior of the designated experts.

I do not know if this is the "trial of the century", but it certainly up there in the "incompetent investigation of the century". I agree with The Behavior Panel analysis, but none of that is admissible as evidence for the jury to consider. My guess (unless there is a deus ex machina in the wings for the prosecution) is that the jury will either be deadlocked or vote for acquittal. I am guessing deadlocked.
