JULY 2023

Posted to Gold Shaw Farm (RE: Chicken Coups) Uploaded to You Tube 07/01/2023

While I live in a fairly busy place in a Northeastern state of the U.S., we still have lots of green spaces and ponds with my yard occasionally looking like a preserve. The wild residents who share space (aka not pets or potential food for humans) sparrows, robins, doves, deer, rabbits, coyotes, raptors (the normal not the Jurassic type), geese, ducks, turkeys, foxes, squirrels, chipmunks, woodchucks, stealth mice (I know that there are there...somewhere), the occasional swans and blue herons. So I have to live vicariously through others as protective and suitable domestic bird housing is not in my budget. Amazing how many imaginative designs have been built into reality.

I am SO glad that Nicole has such a pleasant voice as I will be watching and listening to this video multiple times. I have been doing it all wrong, including my thread choice (always knots accidentally, now I know why). Excellent direction and editing also!

Posted to Attorney Tom (RE: El Faro Disaster) Uploaded to You Tube 07/02/2023

To use a more recent ocean tragedy, I am guessing that since OceanGate is (may be more of a "was" by this comment) a privately held/financed firm, this Maritime Law is not applicable? Regarding Tote, seems like the payout was assumed by insurance as Tote Maritime appears to be doing just fine at least as far as their website proclaims:  https://www.totemaritime.com/

Ironically the catchphrase on the front of their website says in huge bolded font: COMMITTED TO EXCELLENCE. Perhaps adding the words, "since, April 2017" might be more honest. April 2017 is when the final lawsuits against Tote Maritime were settled. Hubris, stinginess and stupidity can literally sink us all.

Posted to LegalBytes (RE: Lawsuits filed regarding OceanGate) Uploaded to You Tube 07/03/2023

By the time that a judge dissolves the waivers thus permitting the filing of lawsuits, I also doubt OceanGate's financial situation will stand up to even one lawsuit unless there was considerable company insurance. Stockton Rush seemed to be VERY aggressive in pursuing clients. Check out Mr. Beast's story https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7UNDe3iqwag.  After firing an employee who warned of problems, Mr. Rush asked his CFO to be a pilot of the Titan submersible https://www.insider.com/oceangate-stockton-rush-finance-director-quit-submersible-pilot-fired-2023-7    Every day more negative information is exposed concerning this company and Rush. Humans assume risks. It is necessary to participate in life. However should anyone choose to jump out of airplanes or climb mountains, the not unreasonable assumption is that the equipment is properly manufactured, tested and applicable to the designated use.  BTW anyone see behavioral similarities between Stockton Rush and Elizabeth Holmes, even their early life bios, regarding their highly inflated belief in their own viewpoints and specialness?

Parasocial relationships have value, but only if the influencer behaves appropriately and the viewer is aware of this relationship's limits and boundaries.

Posted to Dan Murrell (RE: Charts with Dan) Uploaded to You Tube 07/04/2023

Studios are partial to this equation:  incredible budget costs + IP (intellectual property) = even more incredible profits (ironically also ip). Now throw in 2 new variables:  the explosion of multiple shiny new streaming channels whose popularity was accelerated by a pandemic. We currently have a new variable which is WGA strike. This will likely have effects unless settled soon. Until the entertainment industry can balance great stories developed into great movies which result in a profit nothing will improve.  BTW, I like the RT statistic presentation. Since I do not wish to accept their cookies and their ads, I no longer use the Rotten Tomatoes site.

Posted to jeffostroff (RE: Possible Transcript of Titan's final descent) Uploaded to You Tube 07/06/2023

I knew that the hull was composed of problematic carbonite fiber attached to titanium alloy at either end. We now know of the multiple reports of disregarded warnings to OceanGate regarding that mix matched with the problems with repeated deep dives eroding the cohesion of the carbonite fiber. If this transcript is accurate, it appears that Titan's problems began at the beginning of the descent. WHY was the submersible going so fast? What else went wrong? Why didn't Polar Prince advise Titan immediately?  As for the transcript itself, if correct it will assist in speeding up the formation of laws which will inevitably come forcing safety compliance. Ironically, the thing that Stockton Rush seemed most afraid of were laws halting innovation. His hubris has now made that a possibility.

I understand that I missed the live stream but I have a question for a future livestream. Lately clicks and views seem to determine what appears in our news feed. What are the most egregious misconceptions about Mayim Bialik? I am a lazy person so having to factcheck news (checking sources, stats/details, authors, was this a cut+paste job from another outlet) is quite tiring...and annoying. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Posted to antphrodite (RE: Colleen Ballinger and Trisha Paytas) Uploaded to You Tube 07/05/2023

Judging by Colleen's musical apology/explanation video, she still does not understand why people are upset with her. What is worse though, it sounds like she is not listening to her team. The best she can do at this point is make a very brief (nonmusical) video saying she is taking a hiatus from social media to concentrate on spending more time with her family along with improving her interaction with fans and co-workers. Either that or find out how the Paul brothers keep bouncing back no matter what they do and say. They appear to be resistant to cancellation of any sort.

Posted to Dr. Todd Grande (RE: 2018 Disappearance of Terrence Woods) Uploaded 07/06/2023

Terrence Woods might have felt the onset of schizophrenic symptoms, but was afraid to ruin his life's goals perhaps he tried to self medicate. The lack of unprescribed/illegal drugs in his backpack, doesn't rule out drugs as he would probably want the meds on his person. The most valuable witness left is Terrence Woods' journal. I wonder if his parents showed it to a psychiatrist. To the police, the notes might look random and irrelevant. However, a medical specialist might be able to convert this chaos into a diagnosis. Sadly, even this information would not be fully closure for the parents, but at least they could understand that no person hurt their son, it was an illness that took him away.

Both individuals are lucky they still have their degrees. I would be surprised to learn, in 2 or 3 months, that both are still employed by Levidow, Levidow & Oberman. As the judge said, the mistakes could have been corrected easily. It was the repeated lies which doomed these two to a very embarrassing court experience that led to even more embarrassing (and perhaps career damaging) sanctions.

Posted to Gold Shaw Farm (RE: Abby's Story) Uploaded to You Tube 07/08/2023

Is there a BOOK 2 in process? There are so many lessons that are applicable to all of us in this story. Include the mistakes, both of the farmer and the dog as it will provide an arc leading to the happy ending. Blanche's demise could be mentioned, but give Dottie deciding to live on another farm to find new friends more book space. Selected stills of this video could be converted to drawings. Morgan's commentary can be summarized. I know, not as easy as it sounds. However, a book series could offer a small but additional revenue stream for Gold Shaw Farm.

Posted to The Behavioral Arts (RE: Interviews with Robert Ballard and James Cameron) 07/08/2023

I agree that both Robert Ballard and James Cameron feel saddened by this tragedy. At least from the video clip, James Cameron is showing 3 emotions. (1) Primarily, Cameron feels ANGER at what Rush's hubris has caused in regards to the damage inflicted upon an industry that Cameron values. (2) Secondly, Cameron feels GRIEF at the preventable loss of life. (3) Finally, Cameron is showing GUILT, but is strongly trying to fight it, deny it. I do not know much about James Cameron, except that he takes his time (look at the release dates of the Avatar series and his submersible's development taking over 7 years) and is quite precise in his projects. Just a hypothesis, but I am guessing the emotions of regret and guilt are too painful or maybe too unfamiliar for Cameron to tolerate.

As usual such helpful info from Maggie. I once left the hospital with a temporary drain and no supplies beyond one or two gauze pads. When my pain meds wore off, I realized that I was severely undersupplied. It is such a simple thing, but having medical supplies waiting for you is enormously helpful. Also not forget other things like appropriately sized daily use items such as cat litter and pet food. Just try to pick up a 40 pound bag of cat litter with a drain in...actually DON'T๐Ÿ˜‰!

I agree, that was the best ever "Try Guys dressing as..." moments. While everyone was good, Eugene was scary good. Maybe (or is there already?) this will motivate Mattel to include a male Asian doll for their Barbie Universe. Perhaps a text from Mattel indicating that, Eugene we need your body for 3D avatar mapping to produce our next doll?

Award for best comment in this video, Eugene for his proposed new male doll name, "Malibu Naruto". Well first Mattel and Eugene have to initiate trademark talks with author Masashi Kishimoto and the company, Shueisha.

Perhaps it was for the video, but vocally Hank sounds good and centered. I was lucky, my disease responded favorably (for me not the disease ๐Ÿ˜‰) to a combination of surgery, radiation and long term (5 years on) meds. I will be on annual checkups for the rest of my life. The important part of that statement is the word "life". Love to Hank along with a wish for him to find more stimulating, revitalizing, rousing and exciting audio books. Hmmm wonder if someone has done an audio book of Elon Musk's tweets.

Posted to Gold Shaw Farm (RE: VidCon and Loneliness) Uploaded to You Tube 07/10/2023

I can develop sensory overload in busy environments. Some loud noises actual are painful for me. Oddly what should be a respite, the hotel room, is where I become lonely. It is an emotion, accept it, keep moving (if that sounds familiar I am quoting a Disney character) and keep to a schedule. With a farmer's daily job that involves so much physical contact with so many living things, hanging out with huge groups of humans might be daunting (although I appreciated the irony of using a claw machine to grab plushies based on real creatures). Since VidCon was in June, I know that what awaited Morgan on Gold Shaw Farm was that huge bundle of joy Beatrix Potter, the heifer calf.

From what I heard about this series, I was certain that I was not in their target demo. However the clothing did look intriguing so I appreciate a HauteLeMode commentary. Loved most of the outfits, but the "baby" bikini top (at least from the front) looked more gimmick than fashion. Comparing the entertainment industry to a cult is not a new take, but I appreciate the chance for young actors to get a chance to emote.

Posted to Real Engineering  (RE: Questionable Engineering of OceanGate)  Uploaded 07/08/2023

Ironically, Stockton Rush's legacy will not be innovation and will not cause more inventors to think outside the box. Instead his hubris and cluelessness will probably lead to overregulation in this industry put in place by politicians who have no idea of the technology they wish to regulate (my proof: watch any U. S. senate hearing with tech and social media corporate officers). Mr. Rush had far more in common with Elizabeth Holmes than Nikola Tesla or George Washington Carver.

Posted to Nexus (RE: Warnings to OceanGate about Titan) Uploaded to You Tube 07/08/2023

I have been watching so many of these interviews. The interviewer always asks the scientists and technical experts questions that would be best asked of experts in the field of mental health. I can speak for myself, an expert in nothing but I would like to think that I am a good observer.  Stockton Rush showed inability to see any flaws within himself, refused to listen to experts outside his company, refused to listen to people within his company, instituted law suits to punish a whistleblower, was extremely charismatic, came from a wealthy family and looked to profit irregardless as to the possible damage to clients who trusted him. Now overlay the characteristics of Elizabeth Holmes almost a perfect fit, except she survived and is now in jail.

POSSIBLE QUESTION for a future appearance: Change is hard for anyone, but I would imagine especially challenging for someone who spent so much of one's life in an institution. What and who assisted Tommy's change and can it be applied to anyone currently in a brick & mortar prison or the less obvious "prison" of being in a cult?

Posted to the Lawyer You Know (RE: Release of Gannon Stauch autopsy images) Uploaded 07/13/2023

Not to single out the State of Florida, but I would imagine Freedom of Information requests regarding deaths, SA and other violent crimes are requested in all 50 U.S. states. Why has this not happened before, "human error" being common? Are images or data containing sensitive/private information supposed to be stored separately from the general file? The Kobe Bryant case involved first responders taking images and sharing them to friends and family. That is a whole different layer of terrible. The probably accidental release of these autopsy images was due to incompetence either of the individual releasing the file or the State of Florida's method of "filing" sensitive images.

QUESTIONS: as a State of Florida employee can the individual be sued civilly or even prosecuted criminally? Can the department (that would basically be suing the State of Florida) responsible for storing these records, be sued civilly?

Posted to Gold Shaw Farm (RE: Green Growth Surge at Farm) Uploaded to You Tube 07/13/2023

Everything is so green and so moist, it may be due to climate change, but for the moment it is just so beautiful. Would love to see the home garden tour. I am interested in natural ways of keeping away insects and wild animals. I am guessing the perimeter fence cuts down the larger wild neighbors from entering and  chomping down on the plants. For the small creatures, are companion plants used (I have heard mint plants can keep away certain insects while marigolds and nasturtiums can keep away the mammals)? What plants require TLC and what plants just need what the weather automatically provides? Was the catnip garden planted to keep the barn cats "in their lane"?

While I love to watch all the animals, those weird chickens along with their wise leader, Captain Janeway always makes my day.

Corporations tend to think in terms of money first. As for subject of ethics, it may only be relevant in terms of how their client's ethics affects the corporation's profit.  What might scare off any current or future sponsors would be Colleen Ballinger's seemingly inability to follow advice from her own team.  A sponsor might wonder, with that background, how can she be trusted to listen to any voice other than her own. I agree the Try Guys apology was something that should be taught to all You Tubers.

QUESTION:  What would an attorney/PR rep say to Ms. Ballinger at this point?  My advice in this situation would be: to get your finances in order, see a therapist and take time off social media. In her favor is the very very short memory we all have regarding celebrities. However should anyone file a civil (or worse a criminal suit) against her and win, then her career is most likely ended. Anyone who has flown even once in the last few years knows that just the normal airport situation, with the noise, late/postponed flights, TSA, crowds, seats almost claustrophobically close and until recently the mask mandate (which seemed to push aggressive personalities into total meltdown), can cause stress. I agree that this woman's appearance indicates she cares about what others think of her, so why put herself on display in a negative manner. Whether it was alcohol, medication, claustrophobia or all three, I hope that she gets a psych evaluation before a criminal charge is implemented. However with HIPAA in force, we may never get a follow-up.

No. You take risks climbing Everest or jumping out of a perfectly fine airplane. However you do not expect your carabiners to not be rated for/strong enough for climbing nor do you expect your parachute to be beyond its expiration date regarding its material content. Of course all things being equal, when is the last time you read your latest Apple update data before checking "I agree".

MY GENERAL COMMENT to this video:

The tragic irony was that what Stockton Rush most feared and hated were regulations. Now a group of elderly men in Washington DC who do not understand very much regarding science or technology will be making rules for an industry most of them cannot even begin to comprehend or appreciate.

Well done! Maybe create a more upwardly mobile outfit for Betty?  You have similar materials (without the tea, soy sauce and sandpaper additions of course). Betty has recently done a wealthy lady a favor by returning a dropped (due to a bad clasp) necklace. This woman owns a millinery shop and has now offered Betty a job due to Betty's ethics and honesty. The catch is Betty has to impress the manager of this shop. The manager is the owner's feisty, but fair Great Aunt who has never married. Now, make as good as an outfit you can with materials available to Betty with resources available to her without resorting to any criminal behavior 'cause Betty don't do that. Betty lives in a tiny flat she shares with her widowed older sister. This sister earns a very small income by mending clothing and attaching notions (buttons and things) as requested. Also living in this flat are the two children (one is a toddler, one is an infant) of the widowed sister. Oh BTW the necklace woman has tipped Betty a handful of coins, 2 shillings, 12 pence and a farthing.

ODD: last verified kill (as of this moment) buried at Gilgo Beach was 2010-2011 Besides woman, one young child and one Asian man (according to this podcast, this Asian man was trans), were also buried there. Search history (recent) was keeping track of the police's progress in this serial killing. As of now, there was no search looking for new victims. I think that the oldest remains found date back to 1997,  which would put in him in his thirties, also an unusual time to start.

I acquired the following information from several (unverified) online sources regarding Rex Heuermann, age 59:

Former wife: Elizabeth R. Ryan (in her mid-twenties when she married Rex Heuermann in 1990 at a church wedding in New Brunswick New Jersey. The divorce date or reason for divorce is not currently known. Worked for an office supply firm at the time of her wedding to Rex Heuermann.

2nd/current wife: Asa Ellerup, also 59 years of age  (of Icelandic ancestry, I believe born here,or naturalized citizen) Not sure of marriage date. Per a You Tube podcast she may be employed as a nurse.

Children: One step son (son of Asa's deceased 1st husband) now in mid-thirties. Reported to be special needs/partially disabled

One daughter (child of both) Victoria now 26 (probably born somewhere between 1996-1999) She worked for her father at his architectural firm. Her name may have been removed from firm's website upon her father's arrest.

The look of the submersible being dragged behind the decommissioned Canadian ice breaker was an amazingly cheap-looking, less than majestic trip. Along with what I have read about the problematic material used, making it worse is that it was sold at a discount due to the fact that Boeing determined it was too old to be used in plane construction . Although who knows, maybe that bouncing trip behind the Polar Prince was the last straw. I doubt it as the submersible probably would have imploded even earlier in the descent. Along with denials by Boeing and Univ of WA as peripheral participants in this tragedy, I believe that NASA is also on the "we did nothing" list of famous entities listed on Rush's PR materials . As the investigation is just beginning, nothing should be ruled out. I was horrified by the fact that the investigators are sending human remains back to the families of the victims. What is going back? Wouldn't the bodies have been obliterated? It is so horrible.

BTW what about the preventable drowning deaths off the coast of Greece regarding immigrants, I wonder what is being done to prevent future loss of life.

Whether the boys grow up to be farmers, veterinarians, film directors or maybe raptor wranglers, their lives are being positively affected by Morgan, Allison and the farm along with the boys' parents and education. Whether as a parent or as an uncle, being a positive influence in a growing human's life is what having children is all about. What drives these "half"(my term as these individuals are missing something) people is an addiction to fame. Musk realized too late that his Twitter buyout threat-joke had gone too far. Law firms do not need success fees in addition to normal billing. In this instance, Musk should lose. He went into this deal obviously without sufficient prep, it did not bankrupt him so he should take his medicine like a big boy. And rich law firms...now WE know.๐Ÿ˜‰

Posted to Runkle of The Baily (RE: RUST Investigation illegality w/NDA) Uploaded 07/19/2023

The length of time the NM authorities had this case, the odd awkward PR speeches from the lead DA, basically handing Baldwin a get out of jail free card by mishandling his indictment in ways that would embarrass a first year does not seem like a stretch to be equated to its own crime. Is Hannah Gutierrez-Reed guilty of gross incompetence sure, but she is way towards the bottom of that guilty list. It makes me sick, but it is highly probable that no one will be incarcerated for Halyna Hutchins' death or will there be any stronger enforcement of already existing laws to prevent the sole (and part-time no less) armorer on a set from being incompetent and new. Hannah Gutierrez-Reed's first and only armorer job before Rust was the Nicolas Cage film "The Old Way". Cage wanted her removed from the set. Guess why, a gun was shot without proper advance set warnings near an actor.

THANK YOU to Runkle for keeping us informed. Obviously the legacy news cycle has moved on and most of us have already forgotten that talented young woman who will never get to explore her craft or see her young son graduate school.

Posted to Alex Kantrowitz  (RE: David Pogue, journalist who went on earlier Titan trip) 06/30/2023

Admittedly there are countless scientists and other experts out there saying "I told them (OceanGate) and him (Rush) that this was a problem", however David Pogue still seems enthralled (as of the date this video was uploaded) with Stockton Rush's opinion of himself as an innovator and a rule breaker who felt testing was for the inept or those with little minds. Instead Rush's legacy will probably cast a pall over new ideas and bury the industry in rules and regulations put into effect by a lot of old men in Washington DC who have no idea of the industry or the tech that they are regulating. As for the interview itself, Mr. Kantrowitz's smile and easy vocal tones are an interesting companion to his adept and skillful questions.

When I first saw the picture of this very happy group in China, my heart sank as I knew reality would hit hard when they returned home. I wondered who does PR work for SHEIN, because it seems odd that they would misjudge us so thoroughly. My conclusion is more chilling, the PR firm was not out to change the elders, they were out to influence the younger population (subscribers to these people are probably quite young), get them used to the name, the place of manufacture and with these young ones looking at the rest of us complaining about SHEIN and wonder, "what is your problem". Thank you Justine for so comprehensively outlining the problem that is SHEIN.

I am only @35:00, but I am finding the interviewer inarticulate, odd and verbally more inappropriate than the (accused not convicted) serial killer. Chase is being kind in saying the interviewer may be having a gut reaction to seeing the monster behind the human mask. Now I am curious, do we have any other video on the interviewer to see if this behavior is "normal" or intuitive regarding how close he is to horror.

Thank you for providing that link to the Entertainment Community Fund. While my donation was relatively modest, I do feel that our (people who love and watch movies) support is essential to help these individuals through this period of time. Regarding the odd financial behavior of the film, "Sound of Freedom", it will be interesting to have Dan analyze the financial stats in the next few weeks. I hope that other industries are learning from China's seeming separation from being an avid customer of U.S. films. Dependency on one country with problematic allegiances and goals, usually does not end well for the dependent entity.

It was horrible watching the glowing posts from these influencers knowing that when reality hit, it would hit HARD. Along with mistreatment of their own workers, it says much about the lack of empathy and ethics by Shein executives. As for sustainability, very often that comes with a price tag that may be as high as much as Shein's is low. My way to be sustainable is to buy recycled/thrifted clothing, except not for underwear (yeah that is a "me" problem) and not for shoes (my feet are beyond odd). When I no longer wear an item, if in good shape it gets washed or cleaned and then donated or given to a friend. If in bad shape it becomes my cleanup items to avoid overuse of paper towels. I am far from being 100% sustainable on clothing, but I do try.

Not sure when in this video that Kwesi proposed instituting a national "day off for periods". Guessing that there may still be additional education needed as all women do NOT all menstruate on the SAME single day. Apologies to all if I sound irrational and irritated. My opinion is not due to the biological process detailed in this video.๐Ÿ˜‰  I am assuming this may have been Rachel's idea, but to whomever suggested this study thank you and  "live long and prosper".

Posted to Sierra Schultzzie (RE: Disney Bounding) Uploaded to You Tube 07/23/2023

I am not crafty so whenever I go to a comic con, anime con or renfaire, I always "bound" it rather than try to fully reproduce it. This way I can get to cons on time, with minimal stress and appreciate all the artisans who were able to skillfully reproduce characters I love from the movies and graphic novels while still keeping in the theme of the event.

Posted to HauteLeMode (RE: Closet Tour - Maggie Mae) Uploaded to You Tube 07/25/2023

Yes, as closet tours go, I could give a better one even though my closet's color palette is mostly black. One thing I have learned from watching the HauteLeMode channel is respect the art, learn about the artist and explain your experiences with both. So thank you to Luke.

I had not been aware of the existence of Disability Pride Month. I wish that title had instead been, Accessibility For All Month with discussions on how that aspect daily life can be improved for all of us. My disability is not obvious, so my knowing the layout of a venue (stairs, bathrooms, elevators, airport, train stations) is relevant for my movement around a facility and by default is my responsibility

I am going with Indiana Jones on this one, "that belongs in a museum".  Abby Cox did more to provide clues to assist in solving  this mystery than AI, at least in this situation, was capable of accomplishing. I admit it, I giggled at the thought of any of those first class passengers throwing on their bespoke garments and then thinking hey going onto a ship I will wear my shark tooth.

Posted to Runkle of The Bailey (RE: Jury selection for Depp vs. Heard) Uploaded 07/28/2023

I had also heard the rumor that people wanted to be on the Depp vs. Heard jury. I dismissed it as no matter the state of your fandom, being on a jury for 6 weeks is not a trade off (at least for me) for a chance to see movie stars close up. I once got in the pool (about 100 of us) for a jury on SA. I was currently recovering from issues related to that subject. However "my" judge was not amusing and made me go into detail with the attorneys from the defense, prosecution and even the accused present in a relatively small room. Not an experience that has been easy for me to forget even decades later. So this transcript on judicial interaction with potential jurors was both healing and funny. Please, time permitting, do it for other trials!

RE: Ethan Crumbley school shooter

In punishing people for bad acts, we have to be alert to future legal repercussions aka misuses of a law or precedent, such as punishing parents for any and all acts of their child. Ethan Crumbley's parents may be the most clueless negligent parents in the world, but their punishment should be related to laws already in force such as  improper gun storage in a home with a minor. The school was negligent in regarding the assessment of Ethan Crumbley's danger to others. Any doctors who saw Ethan Crumbley in recent years were probably negligent in not assessing their patient's frame of mind and relaying this data to the parents.

BTW giving your teen a car is not the same as giving your teen a gun. A car can get a teen to a job to school and to wherever else they absolutely need to go. A gun can be acquired for a collection, for shooting at targets and for shooting at game (for food). There is the protection element of having a weapon, but this should not be the concern of a teen whose judgement is unreliable and unstable. I would imagine such a teen should also not have free access to a vehicle.

Posted to Dr. Todd Grande (RE: Verdicts in the Schabusiness Trial) Uploaded to You Tube 07/28/2023

I agree with the jury's verdict of guilty and the verdict that this case did not fit the legal definition of insanity. With a medical history of severe instability since age 14, this woman is the product of many failures;  institutional, medical and familial. While this case is obviously extreme, it illustrates what the lack of proper medical care along with inadequate support by family and school can produce. The result is not pleasant and the ripple effect is worse.

Posted to The Behavior Panel (RE: Jimmy Savile Interview) Uploaded to You Tube 07/25/2023

The first time I heard of Jimmy Savile (I am from U.S.) was around 2014 way after his death in October 2011 when his crimes were publicized. I do not know why but this video of the Savile interview makes my skin crawl. His mannerisms, vocal tones and word choices, even his clothing, all makes me uncomfortable. It was like he was surrounded by virtual red flags. However all that is my visceral, gut reactions not skills and observations as shown by The Behavior Panel. Sorry guys for not using the skills that you have taught us, but this man's face should be beside a definition for the word "creepy".  One wonders at how all this was kept secret until after his death.

Posted to The Behavioral Arts (RE: Cyberbullying) Uploaded to You Tube 07/29/2023

I’ve been getting a bunch of messages and comments from some of you telling me to what extent cyberbullying has devastated the lives of your loved ones. Some of you have experienced really heart breaking results of this cruel phenomenon.

MY REPLY TO PINNED ENTRY:  I was bullied, but was lucky enough to have it happen before social media took off. I feel so pained for the current group of children who potentially can be bullied not only during school but before and after school. Who among us can stand up to 24/7 bullying? My answer is no one, not even the clueless bullies themselves.

MY GENERAL COMMENT:   Back when the Twilight movies were regularly discussed, raved about or even dismissed; personal comments concerning the actors' physicality were prevalent (movies were released 2008 - 2012). I wonder if Mr. Lautner's eyebrow emphasis is remembering some of those hurtful comments, remembering the pain it caused a then 16 - 20 year old teen and young adult Taylor Lautner. Yes, Mr. Lautner has been acting since childhood, but think back to the time of high school and how sensitive all of us were concerning our appearance. Celebrities are not born with the proverbial "thick skin". Words can and do hurt.

Posted to Nate The Lawyer (RE: Carlee Russell and False Narrative) Uploaded 07/30/2023

That was a fair and comprehensive analysis by Nate The Lawyer. I only watched the clips of Charlamagne from this video. Perhaps there was a disclaimer before or after him referencing that particular site's stats? Anyone with an audience, followers, subscribers, a social media platform or any similar power should be held to a high (aka ethical) standard simply due to wide dissemination of their data. Unfortunately even if such a disclaimer came from Charlamagne directly or on his channel, people will run with the numbers such as shown by  Channel 11 News and NPR because it is easy and requires no work from their staff. They are lazy, Nate The Lawyer is NOT. Possibly other journalists and influencers publishing this data will cite their sources as Channel 11 News or NPR. Like a virus, that false narrative will be spread fast and far. As for Carlee Russell, I believe in any case such as this (no matter the ethnicity, color, race, gender or age) there should first be a psych evaluation before indictment or incarceration.

During each TryPod (in no particular order): Rainie's home was eclectic and intriguing, Zach's home was spiffy and had a playful dog and Miles' home had a dog with an interesting hobby along with most importantly A BABY+TOYS!  All winners, but as a person quite fond of colorful objects and babies, I choose Miles' domicile for the win.๐Ÿ˜‰

I am not a fan or a follower or a subscriber to her channels. The first time I saw her was on Jerry Seinfeld's Coffee in Cars series. I was not entertained with her "act". The common denominator of her interactions appears to be a total lack of self-awareness matched with an obsessive need for fame. She may emerge from all this unscathed by criminal indictment, however I agree with LegalBytes in that civil suits is another matter. Colleen Ballinger needs to talk to her accountant, find a therapist, stay off social media and LISTEN to (and follow the advice of) her attorneys.

Posted to Legal Eagle (RE: Tree Pruning in a Strike Zone) Uploaded to You Tube 07/30/2023

MY COMMENT: Yes, coincidences occur, but the studio had to know how their arboreal civic mindedness would appear to the strikers and to the public. They probably had their lawyers look at the city, county and state laws, laughed and then called in the landscaping people who obviously worked "covertly". The studios and their overlords, oops I mean corporate owners, are rich while most of the actors and writers striking are not.  As far as I know issues like residuals and AI have not been sufficiently addressed and resolved, thus this strike will probably become (if the studios/corporations have their say), a war of attrition.

Pinned by LegalEagle:  ⚖ What should I cover next?

MY SUGGESTION: The mess that is now "X" (formerly Twitter)--- please choose your adventure: (1) Non payment of severance to former Twitter employees. (2) Lawsuits Musk has filed regarding his own bad decision to buy Twitter. (3) San Francisco being peeved about the lack of permits to place that humungous X over the building formerly known as Twitter Headquarters. (4) Facebook branding (aka META) potential copyright and trademark issue. (5) Xbox branding (aka Microsoft) potential copyright and trademark issue. I am sure there is more, out there somewhere.๐Ÿ˜‰

I feel the analogy should be: skeletons are to fall decor as zombies are to horror/thriller movies and video games...VASTLY overused and a bit lazy. I am loving the suggested ideas in this video. Oh and quite in with the expert color monitor with the apples fall decor suggestion. Pantone's color of the year (2023) is "Viva Magenta 18-1750".

BTW I clicked on the Amazon link, but as of this post I can only pre-order the Kindle version. I feel for a book like this one, I want a retro (paper version) that I can touch the pages. Which sounds creepy, but my childhood was sans tech so paper books be important to me.๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ
