OCTOBER 2026

Posted to Kjersti Flaa (RE: Madonna at VMAs - Is she too old for performing on stage?) 10/01/2026

As Kjersti so aptly noted, there are those who may be uncomfortable watching Madonna dancing and singing in heels while wearing skimpy clothing due to overlaying their own fears of aging onto her. Whether Madonna wrote this line, or just read it in the commercial clip it shows she is self-aware, "I think that the most controversial that I have ever done is stick around...." The VMA hired Madonna. Madonna agreed to perform. For those not wishing to watch, there is no law or entity that requires you to watch her perform. Full disclosure, I have been a fan of hers since I was quite young. I am not fond of what has been injected in her face. Yes I do worry if she teeters a bit on her stilettos. However I will always respect her drive, talent and stamina.

There is skincare that has observable benefits, but you have to start as soon as you are able to walk. A good age to begin is probably between one year and 18 months. Use sunscreen 365 days a year. If you are under 5 years of age you may need to get special sunscreen due to sensitivity. You will not know if you chose wisely in the sense of proper sunscreen until much later in life. The other skincare that has benefits but literally requires you to do nothing is, do not smoke nor hang out in smoky/non-ventilated rooms. Again you won't know if that helped until late in life when you go to your 30th HS reunion. As for a Dateline fav, there is only one correct answer: Keith Morrison. Baseball games, skip the hotdog, go for the popcorn unless protein levels require the meat choice.

Thank you for explaining the ever-shifting Federal laws governing SH and SA. People wonder why more victims do not make a report. Now add in a large educational institution more interested in maintaining the illusion of calm and quiet, a DA's office likely understaffed and overwhelmed with cases, plus law-making bureaucrats with a collective IQ lower than the average age of a Senator or a Representative. These are enormous barriers to achieving justice, for either side. Imagine the stamina, the courage and of course the finances it must take to begin a very public legal journey that will likely consume the next 2 - 3 years of your life with absolutely no guarantee of success? Not sure that I would be up to even beginning such a journey.

IMO the internet went wild because of an ineffective investigation by LE resulting in contradictions. There were failures in basic investigation regarding formulating the timeline, not acquiring all the tech, not properly securing the scene, not testing substances from the home and not properly canvasing the neighborhood. Yet the DA of Plymouth County decided to indict. As a cherry on top of this sundae from h3ll was overcharging in the indictment (1st degree redrum) thus requiring a jury trial (vs. a bench trial) in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. With all these discrepancies, conflicting details, the internet does what the internet always does, fill in those gaps. This could be a corollary to Greg's statement about an organism repeats behavior that is rewarding😉. Now we are here, one mistrial in the books. Likely that the DA of Plymouth County (unfortunately running unopposed in the November 3 2026 election) will do it all again in the same way. What is that phrase doing the same thing over and over getting unfavorable results categorizes a person as....
