JUNE 2025

Posted to Jenna Miscavige (RE: Part 4 of family history damage due to cult) Uploaded on 06/02/2025

All of the children removed from parental care went through h3ll. I am sure many have buried the abus3 and mistreatment under layers of new, perhaps manufactured, memories simply to survive. It may be that life partners and close friends who have never been in a cult are a necessity for those born-ins. Even never-ins have emotional wounds from life experiences, but at least are familiar with the reality of life. Thank you to Jenna for being so brave and kind to share these experiences with all of us. There are lessons to be learned valuable to anyone still within, never-in or emerging from the control of a cult.

Posted to Attorney Larry Forman (RE: Defense Expert Witness Matthew DiSogra)  06/02/2025

I am here to announce publicly that I should never be put into a trial as an expert witness, as a civilian witness or as anyone testifying to anything. I had watched the testimony of Mr. DiSogra multiple times on multiple YT channels. I had thought hmm, he looks familiar. Until this video I did not know why.๐Ÿซข

Posted to Jenna Miscavige (RE: Part 5 of family history damage due to cult) Uploaded on 06/03/2025

Those who have escaped the physical confines of this cult that masquerades as a benevolent entity promising only good things, still have emotional, perhaps even physical, scars. Essentially staying with your family can develop into staying within a toxic group therapy situation.  In group therapy you do have the choice of moving away from this group possibly containing such archetypes as the bully, the gas-lighter, the narcissist, and the denialist. However being related to the members of such a "group" makes it so much harder to distance yourself.  It is fine to "keep the door open", however; do not sit at that metaphorical door, waiting for those who may never appear. One's children, neighbors, new friends are those who can be the companions on this journey forward. I agree with Jenna Miscavige that these videos do teach, inform and maybe even give someone a clarity that is new and wonderful. Thank you for that kindness and generosity of spirit.

I agree with the other comments. A police officer with memory issues should be taken off all duties until a psychiatrist can certify said officer fit for duty. A police officer who lies under oath should be removed from LE permanently. Either way, this officer's next job should be in signing up with an employment agency to enter a less stressful career.

Sounds like Mr. Forman spotted several infamous confabulists regarding this case. As for the gruff, pugnacious, wildly rude LE, well welcome to the Commonwealth. Admittedly not all LE is like that, but they do seem to congregate at certain locations.๐Ÿ˜‰

Well I was 180-degrees wrong. I had thought that Elon Musk was there to use Trump, gather whatever intel he could and then split knowing that Trump was untrustworthy. I suppose the whole twitter debacle should have been a clue as to the inner man that is Elon Musk. As for Trump being on Epstein's list, beyond those passenger manifests for a few plane trips and island parties I highly doubt that full list will ever be known, too many rich and powerful entities. I agree with ant, there was no benefit for Trump to align himself with Epstein. Now as for Trump's (adult) progeny well that would be another story...or reading?

Posted to Jenna Miscavige (RE: Are Ex-Scientologists Dumb?) Uploaded to You Tube on 06/08/2025

Without hearing vocal tones or seeing emojis, it is hard to judge the motive of that question. Let's go with Occam's razor in that the question is simply coming from someone who has no experience with a cult. I would imagine (am a never-in) ex-Scientologists, especially those born-in, once out of a cult may have to learn how the real world works regarding relationships, jobs, schooling and even family. While having a learning disability and being in a cult are not mutually exclusive, the damage done to those in a cult is more emotional than intellectual. BTW I also look up words unfamiliar to me.  A very kind and gifted teacher with whom I was lucky enough to have classes with, put me on that path. I am surprised that a cult would be that open to education. QUESTION: Was the available dictionary just a regular version sold anywhere or somehow "expurgated" and published by this cult?

Posted to Lawyer Lee (RE: Asking ChatGPT on marks on Officer O'Keefe's arm w/image only)6/7/25

ChatGPT has had its share of controversy. Early in this AI's  existence a lawyer used ChatGPT for referencing cases that supported the defendant (might have been re: airline-related suit). I gather the AI got creative and referenced non-existing cases! However in this instance as only an image was used, I am inclined to accept this AI's "opinion" with a high degree of likelihood. I especially enjoyed that Lawyer Lee, thought to determine if ChatGPT had "bias". I am certainly not for AI replacing humans, however in this specific case of the Commonwealth vs. Karen Read, I believe that ChatGPT could manage trial 2 with more appropriate judicial pronouncements, decisions and opinions...plus highly unlikely that ChatGPT would sigh or hyperventilate, no promises though on buffering. ๐Ÿ˜œ

Posted to Kjersti Flaa (RE: Australian Psych says Blake was in love with Baldoni) 06/07/2025

I have learnt more about Blake Lively than I ever wanted to know. IMO (am not a mental health expert or anything more than an observer of celebrities), I disagree that she "fell in love with Baldoni".  I think that Blake Lively has long used her appearance and connections (especially since she married Ryan Reynolds) to get control of a movie set. Her ideas, her opinions, even dialogue and scene direction was listened to more often than not. Does Blake regret her decisions regarding the lawsuit? Of that I have zero doubt. Blake Lively misread Baldoni's gentle treatment of trying to accede to her demands and bargaining, as weaknesses that she could control. She was drastically wrong. Everyone needs to put their egos under control, settle these cases, sign those NDAs and move on.

Posted to Observe (RE: Part 2 Karen Read Case - Brian Higgins Trial one) Uploaded 06/07/2025

I agree that KR is strong-minded, short-tempered and probably has a more than healthy-sized ego. None of that, as Observe says, leads to absolute certainty of guilt in this tragedy involving Officer John O'Keefe. The texts between KR and BH were silly, adolescent, unworthy of any adult. Any physicality between KR and BH would also show a lack of judgement, but also not inculpatory regarding Officer O'Keefe.  Full disclosure, since April 2024, I have been following this case. My opinion is most likely obvious. However this trial has been made more complex, more difficult due to the questionable ethics of the Commonwealth's legal representatives matched with utter incompetence of LE and MST (Massachusetts State Troopers). For a working theory, Observe summed it up quite succinctly at the close of this video. As of this comment, this case is expected to go to jury deliberation by mid or late next week. No matter what the verdict is, IMO there will be little clarity and no closure for the family of Office John O'Keefe.

Posted to DutyRon (RE: Karen Read Case - ARCCA, Dr. Wolfe testifying) Uploaded to YT 06/06/2025

I watched Lawyer Lee's video on submitting an image to ChatGPT on her channel,  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sLKmzeSEQAk. It is VERY intriguing. My search with AI (Meta) showed me this statistic concerning Hank Brennan as a criminal defense attorney:  "...he has represented 100s of defendants and won 100 of those cases...." Kind of meaningless without proper stats, and of course, verification. Even without verification, it does show that Mr. Brennan is successful (Boston office address is pricey), reasonably effective at his job and knows the law. So I have 2 questions:  (1) why did this attorney take on such a weak case and (2) why are Brennan's crosses mostly so pitifully bad? This is SPECULATION only: perhaps Brennan's actual aim is to stall, drag out this trial as long as possible along with confusing the jury sufficient to produce a mistrial? There is a major election in the Commonwealth on November 3 2026. The office of DA of Norfolk County is only one of many highly important offices on that ballot.

-------------------------

@virginia9620

This is a case from the day it hit the media the DA, wanted gone.  What they all did after that is a epic. Sadly no movie producer or publisher would touch this case due to the number of lawsuits from those engaged but not charged. Canton is a town where everyone in power is related by great great grandparents or by the being friends.  Dever's is related to Matt McCabe via a great grandparent.  Canton is like the hillbilly old south with rules of it's own.

comment to virginia by @Lee-le2kp---->Judge BeverGe should be disbarred

MY COMMENT to Lee:

@Lee-le2kp  I can suggest a slightly more painful punishment. Remove her from her judge ships (in criminal court and Massachusetts Supreme Court). Until she retires, age 70 is mandatory retirement age for judges in the Commonwealth, transfer her to small claims court. Small claims court is not usually administered by a judge. Small Claims Court is administered by a clerk-magistrate. As a result, Judge Beverly Cannone would have to change ALL her monogrammed letterhead. Believe me, this transfer would be far more painful than being disbarred (which is a hard thing to accomplish in most jurisdictions).

This was a very informative convo. When Justin Bieber attended Diddy's parties I believe he was still in his teens (15-19 perhaps). There is a photo placing Leonardo DiCaprio at a Diddy party when Leo was 24 years old. Although I do believe DiCaprio had also attended at a younger age than 24. Diddy kept records, photos, audio and video recordings. Think Epstein scandal only with much MORE documentation. I am guessing by the time that either Bieber or DiCaprio realized what was really going on, they found themselves potential blackmail targets with the inevitable job losses. That is not an excuse, only an explanation for their silence. I would rather see Diddy's enforcers (aka bodyguards), financial partners, business managers, personal managers, even attorneys indicted and imprisoned. These enablers who were full grown adults benefiting financially from Diddy during these 2 decades of abus3s, threats and worse. Sure subpoena celebrities, social media fallout will be more impressionable on them than suspended sentences and financial fines.

Posted to Jenna Miscaviage (RE: Trolls) Uploaded to You Tube on 06/08/2025

There are actual differing tribes of trolls. (1) THE COMMON TROLL - doesn't know you, doesn't care to know you, just likes validation of clicks and likes. (2) TROLL 2.0 - these creatures have learned to monetize their trolling by being outrageous liars, with clickbait thumbnails while throwing in a few tiny but accurate compliments to disarm you...never believe they mean anything good.  (3) TROLL 3.0 is the most dangerous group. These entities are responsible for doxxing, swatting and stalking (usually online but for some of the more unhinged can actually make an appearance in the "real" world). Finally (4) TROLL 4.0 who can have some or all of the attributes of these other 3 troll groups.

Difficult, to say what to do as depends on the troll. For the least scary ones, you can make general short unemotional clarifying points on your channel. Never feed the trolls. This means that you do not speak aloud any personal names, no screen names, no channel names. Maybe keep a "Tacky* (*to make you smile) Troll Timetable" in case needed by law enforcement with all identifying characteristics, screen shots and meta data (aka time stamps) regarding the troll(s) that seem somewhat passionate. Keep the "TTT" in a back up format in a secure non-hackable location. Think of the "TTT" as a protective agent, you know like putting on mosquito spray to keep away those nasty bl00ds**k3rs๐Ÿ˜‰

Like other comments I saw her soar (she was so outspoken, so funny) then came the onset of her crash and burn period. Scientology does extensive damage to people, almost like a disease. Not everyone who becomes infected with an illness recovers. However there is that old expression, "where there is life, there is hope."  Perhaps someday she will heal and recover. However until then she needs to retire to where there can be self-growth, education and of course a quarantine. Posted to Kjersti Flaa Talk (RE: Flaawsome talk Ep2 - The Beauty Scam) Uploaded to YT 06/05/2025

I hadn't noticed that certain celebrities (women AND men) are indeed appearing quite similar. It is very surreal to realize this. There was an old series called The Twilight Zone that did several episodes on the desire for beauty along with the inevitable side-effects to a society.  While you could say that celebrities are enablers in The Beauty Scam. I think the real blame goes further up the food chain to the corporations. Corporations own movie studios, fashion houses, print media and makeup lines which are out for profits. As for plastic surgeons, I have no data to support my statement, but I am guessing that the money to be made is not in reconstructive surgery such as correcting a cleft palate or removing a large facial birth mark. My guess is that the profit and the fame is doing surgery on otherwise healthy people who want "a change". I have not done that for myself. I do admit to thinking about it quite seriously. Perhaps this awareness that we are being pressured to engage in this promise of beauty will cause change. We can hope right?

Posted to DutyRon (RE: Karen Read Trial 2 Day 29) Uploaded to You Tube on 06/09/2025

Conspiracies make good movies. In the real world, it is hard to gather a disparate group of individuals who uniformly keep silent. However those in power for an extended time without challenges can become lazy, reward compliance, remove those who speak up. This leaves an office or a department full of incompetents. Hank Brennan is a bit of a puzzle. He is reasonably wealthy (his Boston Law Office is in a very pricey location), famous (defense attorney for Whitey Bulger) and smart (he has a successful criminal defense firm). Why would such a man (1) take on a case as weak and full of reasonable doubt as this case and (2) how could he be responsible for such ineffective crosses of defense witnesses that even a 2L (2nd year law student) would know better than to do. Essentially Brennan's strategy on cross is primarily to use obfuscation to engender confusion in the jury. Perhaps Hank Brennan owes someone quite powerful a favor? Or maybe the reason Brennan took the job of special prosecutor can be found on the November 3 2026 Massachusetts election ballot. One of many important offices to be on that ballot is the position of DA of Norfolk County. This is the office currently held by Michael Morrissey. It was Morrissey who decided to indict Karen Read for 3 counts including second-degree redrum...twice.

Posted to Uncivil Law (RE: Convo with Nan Gallahger "lawinferno" on Read Trial 2) 06/10/2025

Replay crew here. Thoroughly enjoyed this conversation. I agree that juries need education in basic concepts before deliberating. This defense case has been even more effective in trial 2 (I refuse to call this a retrial for strictly emotional reasons). Going with Uncivil's speculation, somehow that black hole will reappear in the jury deliberation room. This will cause some, maybe not all, jurors to be pulled into the singularity never to return.  [NOTE from this reality: Massachusetts legislature general laws, Part III, Title II, Chapter 234A, Section 39, (summarized by me:) the jurors can be dismissed/replaced at any time for essentially any reason.]  However due to "beings" residing in a pocket universe within said blackhole only replacements, aka co-opted clones, will return. These entities will follow the jurors from trial one into infamy, inanity, incoherence and the requisite scary interviews with MSM.  Back to reality, due to my prejudices, distrust of juries and general bad outlook, I am guessing this farce will end in a mistrial.

Posted to Uncivil Law (RE: Reason for 20% prediction of a guilty verdict in Karen Read case)06/12/25

I respect Uncivil for warning us that there is a significant (aka way more than zero) chance that there will be a guilty verdict. I know the writers of the U.S. Constitution tried to anticipate all future issues, but I feel confident that jurors being not properly educated in civics matters, matched with an unethical prosecutor, a County DA who cosplays as an attorney while in "hostage" videos and a judge with enough bias to fill a full season of Lifetime channel dramas; was probably not on the bingo cards (meta's AI indicates our modern bingo is based on a 17th century Italian game) of any of the 18th century authors of the U.S. Constitution. What do I think will occur? Sadly, a mistrial. FYI regarding replacement of jurors:  the General Laws section of the Massachusetts Legislature, Part III, Title II, Chapter 234A, Section 39 (with paraphrasing by me), indicates that in Massachusetts a judge can dismiss/replace a juror at any time for essentially any reason. I will hope for Not Guilty, but expect Mistrial.

Posted to Uncivil Law (RE: Convo with Attorney Larry Forman on Karen Read trials) 06/12/2025

I enjoyed the conversation. I especially appreciate a convo or a panel that contains voices with differing opinions. I may not agree with said differing opinions, but it is so refreshing to hear discourse this is a polite, informative and even entertaining in a give and take format. I stopped watch political debates years ago. The participants either say nothing of substance, argue about nothing of substance and/or are politicians of no substance. It depresses me to see our potential/current leaders in such a cartoonish (the debates) environment. On a more positive note, how about having a Nate The Lawyer convo?

Posted to Defense Diaries Podcast (RE: Convo with Attorney Mark Bederow on KR trial) 06/13/2025

Replay crew here. Great discussion. Hearing the litany of prosecutorial errors, prosecution witness gaffs and general Commonwealth shenanigans has reminded me of more than a few that I have forgotten. I do think that the defense has presented a stronger, more cohesive case this time.  I was astounded that in the first trial the jury seemed to get it so wrong. Not putting anything past a certain judge, I researched some Commonwealth of Massachusetts Legislature on juries. There is this section under General Laws, Part III,Title II, Chapter 234A and Section 39 (I have drastically shortened this section): "The court shall have the discretionary authority to dismiss a juror AT ANY TIME (upper case is mine) in the best interests of justice."  To paraphrase, essentially Judge Cannone can dismiss any juror at any time for any reason without even explaining her reasoning. I hope for a non-guilty verdict on all 3 counts, but I am expecting a mistrial.

I love that floral dress! The double vibe of happiness and Spring-like makes me forget the soon to arrive humidity of Summer. Humidity turns my hair into a wig only suitable for attendance at a RenFaire. What about making this happy dress into a time traveler for a fantasy location such as a RenFaire? Maybe make and add a long sleeveless overdress in dark green? The top could have 4 or 5 grommets with lacing but no boning. Or to make it even more highly adorable by making the closures as buttons or snaps or hooks with a leafy disguise? My skillset involves glue, but for those who can, perhaps go the embroidery route. Love the projects Rachel does. I am sure the stress of YT uploads is there, but all I see are creations that make me smile (that and also poor Frodo's expression when HIS bed "disappeared").

Posted to Uncivil Law (RE: Panel of Attorneys discussing the closing remarks-Read Trial) 06/14/2025

This was a super panel. I wish the discussion could have been longer, but understandably families, cats and real life requires attention. I am hoping (not betting) for not guilty on all counts. Juries can be so random in their verdicts, so deficit in critical thinking that I no longer trust this system. However I have no suggestions to improve it beyond civics classes for all adults eligible for jury duty. Sadly, I am leaning to a mistrial. The possibility for an OUI conviction, beyond even the prison time (unless the Judge has a sudden attack of conscience๐Ÿ™„) does bother me. However this trial ends, as far as I am aware, the O'Keefe Family's civil case is active. I would imagine an OUI conviction would certainly make it easier for the O'Keefe Family to win a large financial settlement.

I am going to a con on the East Coast (U.S.) in August 2025. My cosplay is only as an attendee. It is strictly "homage" in nature, aka very little crafts/tailoring ability but lots of devotion and feels. Too bad some cosplay judges literally did not get the "memo" and read the book on judging. I won't even go into the way Yaya Han was treated except to ask...why? Good on Sarah for raising that money. Lots of sink holes in the fractured reality we find ourselves in at the moment. As for the criticism voiced in this video, it was fair, honest and helpful. Critiquing, if done properly is how we learn, how we can improve and how we can grow. I hope MomoCon administrators see that and reach out. If not, their loss.

Best Father's Day message that I have ever heard. If those in control of and being controlled by this cult ever had a wake-up call, it was this video. It is the love, understanding, cooperation and patience within these families that will make this world a better place. A high control cult which dehumanizes its members and does so much damage to those who have escaped is not the path to a better planet. It never was. It never will be. Thank you Jenna both for making me tear up and reminding me what Father's Day should be.

Posted to Emily D. Baker (RE: Closing Statements by Defense & Prosecution in Read Trial) 06/16/2025

Reply crew here. As I type this the jury has deliberated for approximately 2hours on Friday. I am stressed as I have grown less trusting of juries being critical thinkers and truly understanding that reasonable doubt is granted to the defense not to the prosecution. I do feel that this trial had a better defense strategy than the earlier trial along with an excellent defense close. When SP Brennan began his closing with the image and brief resume of Officer O'Keefe, it felt wrong. Obviously those accolades did not result in a proper, thorough, professional investigation that should have begun on January 29 2022. I do hope for a not guilty on all counts. Yet there is a real chance that jurors' confusions will just coalesce into a mistrial. The family of Officer John O'Keefe along with Karen Read and her family deserve better, much better.

Enjoyed this discussion. I watch Uncivil Law frequently, as he challenges opinions from a constitutional law pov. I can find myself in the proverbial echo chamber, thus a channel like Uncivil Law is a good wake up call. As for those epic failures of the English language, aka jury verdict slips, WAY too many words. Whether the primary culprit is the Commonwealth or Judge Cannone, these verdict slips had the paradoxical result of confusion not clarity. When jury verdict slips are more unnecessarily complex than such expert testimony as (WARNING: Low Bar Alert) Aperture LLC, an engineering consult firm, I think that a re-evaluation is necessary. I would recommend that along with attorneys (prosecution AND defense) include several professors who teach English Composition. BTW for registered voters of Massachusetts, there is a major election on November 3 2026. One of the offices on that ballot will be: DA of Norfolk County.

With yet another confusing jury verdict form who knows. I am hoping for a not guilty on all three counts. Whatever happens, for the registered voters in Massachusetts, remember the next election is on November 3, 2026. One of the offices on that ballot is DA of Norfolk County. That election may be the only avenue to redemption for the Commonwealth. The alternative road is too horrendous to imagine for anyone who finds themselves locked into the Commonwealth's malfunctioning judicial system.

Posted to Lawyer You Know (RE: Discussion with Tragos Sr. on Jury Questions) Uploaded 06/17/2025

I know the video clips were admitted as evidence. Evidence submitted is evidence used in that trial and jury deliberation. QUESTION: However, was the order of Judge Cannone to ONLY admit clips (not full unedited footage) a judicial error? Perhaps this jury understands that a documentary with interviews is not necessarily a true representation of the subject interviewed. Scary thought to leave that decision to 12 jurors with various personalities, IQs and life experiences. BTW every time I hear that horrible phrase, "split the baby" I think of that old story about King Solomon (spoiler he did NOT split the baby while making the correct ruling). Here is hoping for not-guilty on all 3 counts. FYI for registered voters of Massachusetts: election on November 3 2026. Among many offices on that ballot will be, DA of Norfolk County.

KAREN READ TRIAL THOUGHTS - Jury Deliberation day 3-June 18, 2025 ONLY POSTED HERE

In the first trial the words corruption and conspiracy were often used. That jury could not or would not cross that bridge regarding the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, local law enforcement agencies and the Massachusetts State Troopers to a not-guilty verdict on all 3 counts. However as trial 2 (aka re-trial) comes into its final days of deliberation I have come to a realization. This farce cosplaying as a trial is not comparable to the theatrics of a Mission Impossible or James Bond conspiracies with the corrupt committing their tech-related crimes in a highly sophisticated cabal. What has happened in Massachusetts over the last few decades is what I will call "the anti-Darwinian theory" (apologies to Charles R. Darwin) with only the listless, lethargic, lazy and uncaring that survive due to government stagnation and those who value power even in a small suburban community. However this 2nd trial ends, change is possible. Registered voters in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts can participate by voting in the next election on November 3 2026.

Unfortunately this jury is on their own. As I comment, we are approximately 1 hour away from court opening for day 3 of jury deliberations. I very much hope that the result is NOT GUILTY on all 3 counts. This farce needs to end.  However the verdict goes, the taxpayers/registered voters of the Commonwealth have one chance to be sure this ordeal never again happens. On November 3 2026 there will be a general election in Massachusetts. One of the offices on that ballot will be, DA of Norfolk County.

This witness is quite the textbook example of the tough, no-nonsense, my way or the highway member of LE.  A quick look by a viewer unaware of the context (environment and her profession), might only see a young, snide, arrogant person. I believe in the vernacular that type is called a "mean girl". Yes, the "prep" is strong in this one๐Ÿ˜‰. Preparation by counsel is legally permitted, but is meant to produce a response that does not sound planted. I was surprised that both parents took a nap with their youngest. I am wondering if the stepfather had promised to only rest briefly then get up to watch the two children? That would track as to why the mother and the infant left the home to stay with her mother. She was and is furious. I do believe both children are still in the forest, perhaps near a favorite spot. I am guessing they are below ground or behind boulders or submerged in a spring/river as the dogs should have found something by now. I wondered if the children ever drew pictures in school. If so that may be a clue as to where the two played when unsupervised? I am assuming that the bit of blanket and shoe were checked for DNA? One thing that bothers me. The stepfather said he was very nervous when being connected to the polygraph.  However stepfather was told immediately after the test, that he passed. I believe (am not an expert) that nervousness due to stress or nervousness due to inculpatory knowledge shows up the same on a polygraph? MAYBE DO A VIDEO ON the efficacy of polygraph testing?

After years watching Karen Read trials I wanted something really dumb that did NOT involve anything named Cannone, Brennan, Breenan, Lally or Morrissey (not necessarily in that order).  I don't suppose that there are any regrets in the leather shop that fulfill this query, "What is the Dumbest/Worst Leather Crafting Tool You Own?"

Posted to Uncivil Law (RE: commentary on TMZ interview w/one of Read trial 2 jurors) 06/19/2025

After the first jury's verdict, I had major doubts about the capability of juries. I was afraid that the Commonwealth had won (via mistrial 2) with their smoke and mirrors prosecution matched with the bizarre viewpoint that the Commonwealth had the right to reasonable doubt not the defendant. I am so happy with this jury's verdict. One thing that I found curious was the prosecution opting to not prolong the process but addressing sentence that same day with the minimum of 12 month probation. QUESTION: Why? I am sure this judge would have been just fine with the maximum sentence of 2.5 years in jail. BTW anyone see the released statement concerning the not guilty verdicts from the McAlberts and the Roberts (Kerry)? They still do not get it. The statement contained lots of complaints concerning injustice and misconduct from the Read camp. There was very little expressions of honoring the memory Officer John O'Keefe or requesting more effective LE.

It took a courageous village from attorneys to experts to new media (aka YT channels) to supporters and to a jury that had the strength and the critical thinking skills to finally win this. However most amazing of all was the resolve and strength of Karen Read along with her family and friends. I cannot give her enough credit. As this song says, she is "...magnificent".  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C_CsDec2lvo&list=RDC_CsDec2lvo&start_radio=1    May the family of Officer John O'Keefe someday get the answers that they deserve when they are ready to hear them.  FYI for REGISTERED MASSACHUSETTS VOTERS: election day is November 3 2026. One of the offices that will be on that ballot is DA Norfolk County.

Posted to antphrodite (RE: Did the Karen Read Jury Get It Correct) Uploaded to YT 06/20/2025

Ant got it absolutely correct. This tragedy was the perfect storm of inebriation, hubris and LE incompetence.  It began as  toxic relationship between an Officer from the Boston Police Department and his SO (Karen Read). There were several bars visited that night before Officer O'Keefe went to that house party. A drunken argument occurred with KR in her car concerning her flirtation with one of Officer O'Keefe's friends. She had flirted possibly as retaliation for his cheating. Upon exiting KR's vehicle (whether stumbling or walking) Officer O'Keefe went to the house party on 34 Fairview. It was at that location where the same people from the bar hopping were continuing to drink. Unfortunately several of the male partygoers possessed more testosterone than sense. That was their first mistake. When these individuals realized what they had done, they made their 2nd mistake. They decided to "blame the girl" (quote from former/now disgraced and fired lead investigator Officer Michael Proctor of the Massachusetts State Police). The partygoers final, and probably most critical error was,  they greatly misjudged Karen Read. They assumed she would take a plea deal even though not guilty. Her acceptance of this plea would make all of this "go away". Interesting the last thing that ant said, "this case gives me a headache". After 2 trials and 3 1/2 years of many of us following this case, we also have headaches. Karen Read may not be a saint, but she has been proven by the evidence in court as factually innocent and by the jury at the end of this re-trial, not guilty.

Replay crew here. Finding your heroes are not only highly intelligent, but also fair, empathetic and honorable is such a gift. Thank you to Runkle for letting these two stars shine with expert interviewing skills. As I think Robert Alessi mentioned, this format is exactly what makes the new media (aka You Tube commentaries, analysis and interviews) the future of public information and news.

Posted to Broken Baker (RE: Commentary on "McAlberts" interview) Uploaded to YT on 06/21/2025

What we saw in this Dateline interview is the narrative the "McAlberts" need desperately to survive.  Like a certain LE individual in the re-trial who changed their story due to "false memories", these people are attempting to overwrite reality with their story. This bubble in which these people now reside is even smaller than their minds and hearts. As for Dateline, as Robert Alessi said in an interview, the future of information, news is no longer to be found in MSM, it is in the new media (aka You Tube). My advice to the "McAlberts" (rhetorical only, as they do not seem to accept other viewpoints) would be to: (1) remember The Streisand Effect, (2) learn the phrase "No comment" and (3) use that phrase as often as needed. Thank you Baker for all you do on this channel to make sense of the chaos.

Posted to Microdots (RE: "McAlberts' Script - reversed) Uploaded to You Tube on 06/21/2025

Excellent analysis by Microdots. MSM running these interviews has gone beyond being a disappointing source of news to complete irrelevancy. MSM showed up for the verdict, but where was their coverage over the last 3 years? The level of self-awareness of the participants in this poorly advised attempt at image rehab (The Streisand Effect is a thing folks), is so low that it is breathtaking. Thank you Microdots for being there for Karen Read. I hope that this channel will continue to explore injustice as it is statistically unlikely that only Karen Read, Officer John O'Keefe, Sandra Birchmore and Trooper Enrique Delgado-Garcia are the only ones who have been harmed in the Commonwealth, allegedly.  FYI: There is an important election on November 3 2026 in Massachusetts. One of the many offices to be on that ballot is, DA Norfolk County.

I apologize for doubting these jurors. I had expected a mistrial. Instead these people were critical thinkers who did not fall for the smoke and mirrors prosecution strategy. As for certain people on twitter, they are grownups cosplaying as children. These "children" are acting out because of all the negative attention it gains.  Thank you to all channels on YT who were there looking for the truth, then speaking it and not "blaming the girl."

Posted to Uncivil Law (RE: Extended Interview w/Juror 11 & more) Uploaded to You Tube 6/21/2025

My apologies to these jurors. I doubted their collective skill set. Interesting we (YT viewers) were exhausted by the innumerable sidebars. However per Juror 11 when the sidebars occurred with jury present, it was a positive for them to enjoy those minutes of "at ease" time. Wonder what is going on now at Aperture LLC with Dr. Judson "Blue Man" Welcher and Shanon "the byte-bit man" Burgess? RANDOM Q: Does anyone at Aperture LLC realize the IP behind their name ("Still Alive" from Valve  game, Portal)? I mean the amorality is in the song lyrics, "... Aperture Science: We do what we must, because we can...." SPECIFIC Q: What can be done to those who harass and defame jurors? I agree with Uncivil in that there will be no justice for Officer O'Keefe unless someone who was at the 34 Fairview Road house party confesses. Maybe the O'Keefe family should sue a certain former state trooper instead of the person who was declared not-guilty by a jury. This former trooper's actions directly prevented a professional investigation. BTW 2 pieces of data that support my distrust of MSM: (1)that retired judge speaking to CBS News Boston, ๐Ÿ™„ (2) ABC News interview with Kerri Roberts, a "key witness". You mean the one that lied (aka perjured herself) to the Grand Jury.

Posted to Dr. Todd Grande (RE: Not-Guilty Verdict in Read trial 2) Uploaded to YT on 06/22/2025

This is a complex trial, so probably Dr. Grande should be given a pass on missing some relevant details including, but not limited to, the following: (1) The conspiracy theory was strong in the first trial, but not the re-trial. (2) The height of the blizzard did not occur until after 6AM on January 29 2022. (3) There was no LE chain of custody regarding evidence or a competent investigation by Massachusetts State Troopers. (4) The prosecution case in the retrial changed the timeline that they used in trial one. (5) That disgraced former trooper not only made horrific texts, he gave confidential information to civilians via text chain. (6) He also proclaimed only several hours into this case  "just pin it on the girl". This tragedy probably began due to an accident involving a few drunken party-goers with more testosterone than sense. I speculate that group think, not a conspiracy as we think of one in the movies,  grew exponentially in the hours just before discovery of Officer O'Keefe by LE. There are many attorneys on YT who can explain events much better than I can. Without giving links, as this group is large, I would suggest a search and view of channels where attorney Mark Bederow was a guest commentator in period May-June 18 2025. Mr. Bederow has a gift for accurately condensing and summarizing data in this complex case.

Posted to Lawyer You Know (RE: Interview of Robert Alessi and David Yannetti) Uploaded 06/23/2025

Always amazing to see your heroes in another environment that still confirms one's expectation, These attorneys are just as intelligent, ethical and appreciative of the law in conversation as they were in trial. I include Peter Tragos in that statement. Even though I have not witnessed PT in a trial, I have seen him during live streams keep the chat in line by reminding us to withhold judgement until both sides have presented their cases. The interviews by the "McAlberts" and Proctor have left me with the impression that they are locked into their tiny bubble of "poor me" and "it was someone else's fault". Sadly they seem comfortable in that reality. As for Mr. Brennan's statement, its tone while properly solemn, does not sound the like person I have been watching on a trial live stream since February 2025.  IMO (no proof) his statement was written by someone else. FYI: For registered voters in Massachusetts, there is an important election on November 3, 2026. Like the defense team and the jury who enabled Karen Read to exit this nightmare, voters can help the Commonwealth exit its own nightmare by voting.

Posted to Broken Baker (RE: Brennan's statement after not guilty verdict in Read case) 06/25/2025

I suspect that this (even though attributed to Hank Brennan) press release came from someone in Michael Morrissey's office. The statement's content and style reminds me of that "hostage video" that Michael Morrissey made so long ago. Now Michael Morrissey's  (DA Norfolk County) terse and blunt statement, "The jury has spoken." sounds more like Hank Brennan to me.  Quite likely my brain in befuddled from all the gas lighting along with smoke and mirrors from this trial. I find it odd that it sounds like they wrote each other's statements. FYI: Reminder for registered voters in Massachusetts there is an important election on November 3 2026. People can make a difference.

Replay crew here. To me, Brennan's statement sounds more like it came from the Morrissey/"McAlbert" group. While Morrissey's terse, blunt, unemotional statement, "The jury has spoken." sounds more like Brennan. The absence of value or concern for the jury in that statement is actual proof of the real threat to the legal system in the Commonwealth. As for certain current/former residents of Canton being upset about rubber duckies, stares and eye rolls, well shame is a thing. You do something shameful, then do not be surprised if you are actively shamed. At least the Commonwealth no longer uses "the stocks" in the center of town.  As for closure for the O'Keefe family, that ship sailed with Captain Ahab (aka Proctor) and his minions January 29, 2022. Ship last sighted foundering on Dateline and on certain MSM outlets.๐Ÿ˜‰  FYI: For registered voters in Massachusetts there is an election scheduled for November 3, 2026. Elected and appointed officials responsible for the personal safety of Commonwealth residents along with the fiscally sound expenditure of tax dollars have epic-failed beyond imagination. These officials are no longer fit to serve the Commonwealth. There will be a major election in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts on November 3  2026. One of the many offices on that ballot is DA of Norfolk County. This election may be the only way for the Commonwealth to reclaim its status as a place where a defendant is innocent until proven guilty, not indicted or convicted if reasonable doubt is present and ethical standards prevail beyond bias.

I trust Baker's integrity. I will not click on that channel which I shall not name. I just shake my head in astonishment at these "anti" channels who IMO are after fame more than truth. I would suggest that any of those who use a "cult" label to attack channels, comments or worse jurors. stop a moment. Initiate a web search for cults, high maintenance religions to see what a cult truly is before throwing around that word. Oh and for registered voters in Massachusetts, save the date: November 3 2026. It is election time in the Commonwealth.

Hank Brennan has been called smart, even by those who dislike him. However I would venture to speculate that if HB is smart, well-versed in legal strategy and successful (office address is pricey) then statements like the one Carl Steinbeck highlights could only mean that HB is self-aware of what he does, what he says, how he questions witnesses. Allegedly, there is only one conclusion and it doesn't lead to excellence in ethical prosecutorial behavior.

Posted to Uncivil Law (RE: Inteview with Juror 1 - Foreperson) Uploaded to YT on 06/24/2025

I was afraid when I heard that Juror 1 took no notes. I remembered the issues with the earlier jury. Aidan Kearney (TB) had said that he had "good impression" of Juror 1. So I hoped I was wrong to expect a mistrial. Judging by some recent juror interviews, critical thinkers were present and heard. Amazingly the jury understood that reasonable doubt is for the defense not the prosecution. This is only one of the legalities about which the prosecution itself seem conflicted . As Uncivil said, these individuals understood their mission, how to perform it and came to a just verdict. It is ironic that the O'Keefe Family has filed a civil suit against Karen Read, but not against a certain former/disgraced Massachusetts State Trooper. That individual's incompetence and bias so decimated the investigation that the O'Keefe Family will most likely never get closure.

Rush Hour w/Dave Neal (RE: Zohran Mamdani wins democractic mayorial primary) 06/25/2025

While the current administration had made multiple missteps, the ICE raids and further destabilizing the Middle East are 2 really big miscalculations. Big enough to impact state-wide elections all over the U.S. even before the November 7 2028 national election. My wild speculation is that Elon Musk/DOGE was brought on as "smoke and mirrors" to take our attention off upcoming unpopular decisions.

Posted to the Law Offices of Andre Myers (RE: Post Verdict statements and interviews) 06/25/2025

When I heard about Juror 1 (foreperson) being the only juror not taking notes, I feared another mistrial. The fact that any of the jurors had an eidetic memory never occurred to me. So happy that this jury also had the critical thinking skills to see through the "smoke and mirrors" prosecution strategy. Probably just me, but I thought that Brennan's statement sounded more like Morrissey (just re-watch that infamous "hostage" interview by Morrissey and the "McAlberts" Dateline post-verdict interview). While the brief, terse, unemotional statement from Michael Morrissey, "The jury has spoken." sounded more like Brennan. Save The Date: for registered voters in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for an important November 3 2026 election. One of the offices on that ballot will be DA Norfolk County.

Posted to The Emily Show (RE: Post Verdict Karen Read Case Statements) Uploaded 06/25/2025

I agree with EDB (and Alan Jackson in his recent statement). The special prosecutor's primary job appeared to be more focused in defending certain civilians and LE, rather than a prosecution of a defendant. IMO the primary objective in allowing this torture of 2 trials was to make it legally impossible to investigate, indict and convict anyone else in this case. This is speculation only. However the conclusion I have come to is chilling, horrific, dystopian. The Commonwealth, allegedly, could not lose: (1) guilty verdict - ends the discussion (2) mistrial - would lead to a 3rd trial of Karen Read and (3) not guilty - makes the prosecution of anyone else improbable. Any defense attorney could use reasonable doubt/3rd party strategy for their own client. Basically all 3 paths protect those to whom Hank Brennan, a well-know criminal defense attorney, was allegedly hired to protect and to serve.

Posted to Potentially Criminal (RE:Hank Brennan's Statement post not guilty verdict) 06/26/2026

Hank Brennan as a Special Prosecutor was obviously not a shining or special example of what a prosecutor should be. However, Hank Brennan, the criminal defense attorney has returned to his practice at a Boston law office located in very pricey area of Boston.  Those who hired and pulled his strings are still in power over every Massachusetts resident and tax payer. SAVE THE DATE: NOVEMBER 3 2026. On that day there will be a major election in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. I agree with  @biancaMMM  that the "McAlberts" looked and sounded as if programmed by the same script and the same director. Body language analysis is helpful, but this group's lack of concern for others was blatantly obvious in their words. Moving out of Canton, even out of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts might be their only hope to lead any kind of life. Not that I think that they deserve it, I would just prefer to never to see or hear of them ever.

Only a few minutes into this video, like Mark Bederow, I have concerns. Who wrote this professional journal's rather unprofessional questions? Were I an attorney I would object to these questions as leading, speculative and even defamatory (as in use of the word "pry" regarding Proctor's cell phone). An effective interviewer should want to learn, to elicit the subject's views with open ended questions. These questions seemed to exist in the echo chamber where certain Commonwealth officials currently reside. This support also enables a search to continue regarding what took Officer John O'Keefe away from his children.  If all that is not enough reason for our support, then there is this: the First Amendment to our (U.S.) Constitution. "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof, or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press, or the right of the people peaceably to assemble and to petition the government for a redress of grievances." Thank you to Kjersti Flaa for such insightful commentary. I am getting a little weary of the bickering children populating a certain scandal currently winding its way through the legal system and social media. I had not really thought of the professional vs. personal trajectory of Cruise, DiCaprio, Pitt and Depp. I think that Kjersti was on point. These 4 men somewhere along the way have lost themselves, who they really were as fathers(except for Depp), spouses, friends. Now they are left with that shiny image covering a very damaged reality. I wonder if Ben Affleck should be added to this group of four? Although in him I do see some sadness and regret. Perhaps he is not totally unaware of his actual self.

Essential find a hospital, tell all the patients to go home send this woman to every department in the hospital (you can probably skip urology and maternity). Instead, I am guessing that she will find a new home with a really good security system, round-the-clock attendants and no privacy in the room where bio-waste should go, as opposed to the hood of a vehicle.  Not sure what Darwin would have said, just guessing that human evolution and behavior is on a continuum.

It is so sad. To not see the history of Scientology or comprehend this cult's mistreatment of its own members is an astounding level of cluelessness. The only other answer, is that somehow, someway these 3 are benefiting.  People who enjoy and desire a thriving community will most likely move out of Clearwater. The tax base will diminish. The streets will be even more silent. The climate may still be beautiful, but who will be around to see it?  Certainly not those who remain in this cult. They are shut into buildings most of the time. If they ever leave their "prisons" it is with a small amount of money to spend in their even smaller amount of free time. In case these 3 selectmen have forgotten, the U.S. Constitution, begins with "We the People". Maybe they should read the rest before their 3 signatures give their community away to a cult.

Posted to LTL Media(RE:ReadTrial2-witnesses retired Lt. Gallagher and Trooper Yuri Bukhenik)5/9/25

I know people enjoy speculating on conspiracies. This case certainly has the corruption element that most conspiracies have. However the amount of LE cluelessness, incompetence, sloppiness, lack of deductive reasoning abilities and not even knowing their own chain of command is probably the bigger reason that Karen Read finds herself as a defendant for the 2nd time in this case.  An officer from the Boston PD is tragically un-alived, in what plausibly could have been a drunken fight. No one involved will take responsibility. A female outsider with a strong connection to this Boston officer becomes the pawn that these locals believe will make all their "problems" disappear. Interestingly people in power for a very long time can become careless, negligent and prone to underestimate their opposition. My hope is that jury 2 sees the huge amounts of reasonable doubt due to bad LE work and a political machine running low on everything except hubris, to declare Karen Read not guilty.

Full disclosure I wear reading glasses and have a monitor (video not heart๐Ÿ˜‰) that is several years old. To me the sneaker in the snow  @8:09-8:15 (assume image taken January 2022) looked like it has a black sole (NOT shadow) with white edging on both sides of black sneaker. Referring to the sneaker presented in court during Read trial 2 @11:03-11:10, I did see a slight scuff mark on right side of heel. As for the sole, it did not appear to be pristine, but was definitely white. Just goes to show the nature of this clown show cosplaying as a trial, that it is entirely possible that LE is bereft of intelligence enough to swap in a new shoe for an old shoe. HOWEVER, it is more likely that this group of incompetents scrubbed the shoe with chemicals to remove any DNA or identifiers to 34 Fairview Road thus producing a "cleaner" shoe. As was mentioned in this commentary the irony is immense as a spot light on the differing LE evidence procedures was shown by the prosecution's questions of Former LE Paul Gallagher and Trooper Connor Keefe. You remember Gallagher, who retired at a mid 200,000 usd level of annual salary?

These trials are witch-hunts that have not occurred with such obvious corruption, vehemence and lack of evidence since Salem 1692-93 and Senator Joseph McCarthy in 1953-54. I know that sounds like hyperbole. Human nature can become twisted and cruel at so many times, in so many places on our planet. However the two I referenced did happen in U.S. The 2nd occurring way after the U.S. Constitution was signed in 1787. BTW, while I do not have a very high opinion of Trooper Bukhenik his text message reading was done with valid inflections and aplomb. I love the way he apologized for skipping a page. I wonder does anyone think that Trooper Bukhenik or his superiors will ever apologize to the family of Officer John O'Keefe or their (LE's) designated "pawn",  Karen Read.

I am so happy for the citizens of Clearwater Florida. Hopefully this means that Clearwater will not be selling an important local thoroughfare to a cult that provides zero benefit to the town and its people. If completed, this sale would further erode away what should be a vital bustling community by physically bisecting this town. BTW if Scientology had not forced out so many local businesses, business leaders, residents and tourist locations over the years, it would not need revitalization only enhancements. Time for the people of Clearwater Florida to remove the suffocating entity that is Scientology, take a deep breath and regain their home.

I do not like this man (although Trooper Bukhenik's recitation of the texts between Brian Higgins and Karen Read was the stuff of legends). Even more than Proctor, Bukhenik symbolizes the abject failure in being effective LE, whether in an ethical sense or in a competent sense. He had one main job, to supervise Proctor. Match that failure with a few small town small-minded residents with very large quantities of hubris with a certain DA of a certain county in the Commonwealth who is so far beyond the pale that he was watched (and maybe still is) by the FBI, then we find ourselves here. BTW to all Massachusetts voters, Michael W. Morrissey's position is up for election in 2026.

However the dirt kicked up by both sides against their opponents is going to make all involved not highly employable by the entertainment industry or likable in general.  Everyone needs to "adult-up". Now careers, lives and futures of those who thought themselves as omnipotent and invulnerable have been forever damaged. Karen Read, her family and friends along with her heroic defense team will move on when this is over. As for the others, who knows. As of this comment, there is still an encore of this clown show with a civil law suit filed by the O'Keefe family after the mistrial. Posted to Attorney Larry Forman (RE: Read Trial 2 - Bukhenik cross) Uploaded to YT on 05/14/2025

The jury's verdict form in the first Read trial was quite confusing. The judge's instructions were also quite confusing. As for the inconsistency of the jury's responses to the 3 counts, I agree with Mr. Forman and Chandler in that qualities like deductive reasoning, critical thinking and knowledge of the rights that our own Constitution pledges to us is not spread equally among a random group of 12 people. The alleged presence of a court-approved foreperson who was former law enforcement was the coup de grรขce for a fair verdict. Also in trial one,  I believe that the defense in pointing out the massive corruption without an equal dose of massive incompetence went a bridge too far for the jury.  The "KISS" (not rock group) method is the only way to go. The defense must prove that pedestrian vs. car could NEVER have happened.

I am happy that the many legal experts that I follow on YT produce a variety (short, long, with or without commentary) of videos. I "bounce around" depending on my free time and energy level. Robert Gilman was refreshing among a group of mostly obdurate and selective-amnesiac prosecution witnesses. Makes me curious as to why Brennan chose him?  IMO what happened on January 29, 2022 involving Officer O'Keefe was a tragic accident. What looked like an impossibly complex conspiracy is actually quite simple. We find ourselves here due to a combination of LE incompetency + hubris of the powerful + more than a few dashes of governmental corruption.

Commenter:This is the dirtiest trial I can imagine. Aunt Bev needs to do serious time. Love your coverage.

MY REPLY: Incarceration is too easy. Let's go for the long game. Until Judge Cannone retires (70 years of age is the mandatory judge retirement age in Massachusetts), she should be sent to serve as the judge of Small Claims Court. Usually a clerk-magistrate runs Small Claims Court, so I suppose her title could be altered? As for her position on the Massachusetts Supreme Court, well that has to go away.

Amazing how when former (never get tired of inserting that adjective) Trooper Michael Proctor's name is mentioned by the Defense there is often an objection from the prosecution. Or even more egregious, is the judge's scolding interjection of, "please rephrase your question". George Orwell's novel, 1984 chronicled a dystopia. The dystopia had a concept called "non-person". This is where The State (or shall we say, cough cough, The Commonwealth?๐Ÿ˜‰) erases a particular person's existence from public and private memory. Maybe in the short term, certain people in power benefit from this erasure. However long term this action is a poison, which if left unchecked, can destroy a society. Without a knowledge of history, without seeing the mistakes and the advances made in the past, we damage our future. This erasure can be seen in our reality regarding denial of past scientific advances or making the same horrific mistakes again and again. BTW as for the unwanted office phone calls, consult IT to create a filter based on certain words and phrases. Ever called a medical insurer? Their AI is really good at shunting calls to "special places".๐Ÿคฃ

OMG comparing Trooper Paul to an NPC, I was in TEARS. I won't say the game, but I hated the NPCs so much that I constructed fences and barriers to keep them "confined" during game play. Unfortunately the game respawned ever 24 hours, so I had to keep my fencing at easy access during game play. Yes my friends thought that I was beyond demented. Yes I no longer play that game. I do not know how the  jury contains themselves during some of these testimonies. I would be ejected from this courtroom SO quickly. My laughter is reminiscent of those mid 20th century horror movies featuring a shrieking banshee. ๐Ÿคฃ

Being an effective expert witness is more than having accomplished knowledge in your particular field. In order to convince the jury, issues such as deportment, vocal tones and the amount of jewelry/makeup are also relevant. There is a reason why the defense will fight for having their client appear in street wear, professional hair and no visible confinement items during court time. Perhaps due to her inexperience (3 trials?) as an expert witness, Jessica Hyde does not do a very effective job of being relatable and understandable. She needs to brush up on her attitude, mannerisms and comparative analogies. That pizza story analogy might have the educational institution that awarded her degree questioning THEIR judgement.๐Ÿ˜‰

Very enjoyable discussion with Attorney Mark Bederow. I know Attorney Bederow has guested on multiple channels, but the interaction with each channel's host is different enough to make all the videos still informative and interesting. Sometimes I worry about Attorney Bederow. He seems somewhat tired. I am not sure if it is due to the twitter "lawyers" or just seeing the U.S. Constitution turn into "write your own adventure". I was happy to hear him laugh at the Uncivil merch. It was well-deserved as those items are AMAZING. I hope Uncivil sends him a generous merch sampler. Attorney Bederow needs a guffaw and a chuckle to continue this battle against incompetence, inaction and inanity.

The opening prosecution remarks that Dad Tragos proposed might have been highly effective. In this reality, those proposed remarks had 0% chance of happening. There are those in Canton, LE and the Commonwealth with more hubris than sense. I am NOT alluding to a movie-like conspiracy. In the Dedham Court House what we are seeing unfold in real time is a devastating image of what happens when those with any amount of power get careless, overconfident, lazy and subsequently deficient in cognitive skills.  Irregardless as to the verdict, these 12 people cannot "fix" what is wrong in the Commonwealth. REGISTERED VOTERS of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts: next election is on November 3, 2026 (primaries on September 15, 2026). Please vote with knowledge and thoughtfulness. Posted to Uncivil Law (RE: Chances of Read Trial 2 end in a guilty verdict) Uploaded 05/19/2025

If the jury system is to remain, or in some areas become, a relevant way of determining guilty or not guilty, we need more informed jurors. Perhaps a mandatory inclusion in the required courses of all U.S. public schools (never going to happen but I can dream) where critical thinking, concepts such as "reasonable doubt" and learning at least a simplified version of the U.S. Constitution plus its amendments is taught. I am willing to admit that my less than stellar opinion on juries is based on a very small group of trials that I have watched on YT. While "having a feeling" or "a gut reaction" in certain intuitive individuals can lead them to the truth of the matter, most of us need to rely on the court testimonies. What do I think will happen in this case, probably a mistrial. The Commonwealth will then state that is is laying plans for a re-trial (aka Trial 3).  There is a major election in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts on November 3 2026. IMO this is the only chance for this circus of a trial to be forced to exit the town.

Replay crew here. Sometimes I sit back and ponder (sounds pretentious but I have loved that word since I read the poem The Raven in school) the tragedy involving Officer O'Keefe. IMO what happened to Officer O'Keefe began as a fight among men with more hubris than sense that night/early morning in January 2022. Obviously this decision affected the family of Officer O'Keefe and the life of Karen Read. However collateral damage to lives, careers and futures of those even on the periphery of this disaster would fill more binders than Brennan could count. There is a major election in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts on November 3, 2026. I hope that votes are made with thoughtfulness, thorough research and a vivid memory of what has happened under the watch of the Commonwealth since January 29 2022.

Obviously I knew this was satire before watching. Still quite funny at first with the AI image, the tone, the words . Then as I thought about it more it became sad. It was especially poignant when AI Tom Cruise spoke with such feeling regarding his child. As for the craft, AI Tom Cruise was a little younger than the Human Tom Cruise. Also AI Tom Cruise seemed a bit fidgety. Understandable as even AI might be affected when talking about this cult. BTW excellent scripted dialogue for AI Tom Cruise. It was sincere, relatable and articulate.

I like the idea that there are not a lot of employees dressed as impossible creatures and humanoids. The Commonwealth found an expert, a neurosurgeon, Dr. Aizik Wolf that is worthy of the title expert. Yes, I was surprised๐Ÿ˜‰. In regards to direct by prosecution I would say that the result was slightly better for the defense. The example given by Dr, Wolf of a drunk person hitting their head in a fall on a solid object was especially memorable, hopefully also for the jury. Alessi's cross was respectful. I appreciate that he can "read" people so that he can adjust his questions. I agree with LYK, Alessi brought out that this expert's medical strengths are regarding abnormalities due to disease's affects on living beings and not so much in regards to the aftermath when physics win with human losing. I always worry though, is the jury listening?

I am not an internet sleuth, however I do like to pretend that I am one. I have checked out the Aperture site,  https://www.aperturellc.com/     As of this comment, the front page in very LARGE font proclaims, "We exist to shine a light on the truth." They might wish to add an addendum, "...except for proofing credentials of our employees". On the first page of the tab labeled "Insights" is yet another problematic quotation (also in LARGE font). It states,"We leave nothing unturned, unanalyzed, or unexplained."  Under Mr. Burgess's bio section labeled: "professional certifications", I may have spotted Mr. Burgess's next position.  Assuming the data listed is correct ๐Ÿ™„, Mr. Burgess is a licensed private investigator in Arkansas.

I have been inspired by Uncivil's valiant efforts in trying to explain The Shanon Speculation (aka The Burgess Belief). Let me expand upon Uncivil's excellent hypotheses. A bit of background, in 1963 Roy Kerr solved a few Einstein (yes, THAT one) equations concerning relativity. Mr Kerr proved that black holes are indeed stable. However instability can occur due to super-radiation. I cannot explain super-radiation as I cannot even figure out daylight savings time vs. standard time. However my theory is based on the science which I plan on acquiring in the next millennia, probably around 3001. Due to certain radioactive particles who insisted that they were super, the black hole surrounding a certain town (let us call it C Prime) in the Commonwealth destabilized. So C Prime was pulled into the now destabilized black hole only to be released seconds later to the same spacetime, longitude and latitude as C Prime had been positioned. What was released is the community which I will designate as C Secondary (imagination is also not yet in my skill set, maybe in 3002?). C Secondary is seemingly deficient in proper levels of chemicals necessary for cognition, critical thinking skills and good sense in humanoids. Eureka, here we are.๐Ÿ˜•

I fear that this trial, in spite of all the egregious errors by the prosecution, problematic prosecution witnesses and a judge with more bias than judgement, will still end as a mistrial. Should that happen I have no doubt that the Commonwealth will attempt to force a trial 3. Judge Cannone was appointed by the Governor of the Commonwealth. Hank Brennan was hired by the DA (an elected position) of Norfolk County. For REGISTERED VOTERS of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, there is a major election on November 3 2026 (primaries are on September 15 2026). Absentee ballots are available to those who fit the qualifications. Please vote with careful thought, research and awareness of what has happened to Karen Read, Officer John O'Keefe, Sandra Birchmore, Trooper Enrique Delgado-Garcia and highly likely others whose names we may never know.

Please feel free to remove this comment.:  For registered voters in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts there is a very important ELECTION (DA of Norfolk County is only one of the many offices on that ballot) on November 3 2026 with the primaries on September 15 2026. Absentee ballots for those who fulfill the requirements are easily acquired online  I see that election as the only hope that there is not a re-retrial (aka trial# 3) for Karen Read.

Talking about a neurosurgeon, like Dr. Aizik Wolf being an actual expert, I find Mark Bederow to be an expert legal-surgeon (in the analytical not medical sense). He cuts to the important pieces of data to reveal details concerning its "health" (aka irrelevant or relevant) status. We most likely have passed the time for justice regarding Officer John O'Keefe. Perhaps there is still time for Karen Read. The Commonwealth needs to walk away, come to terms with whomever invited this circus to town and end this. On November 3 2026 is a very important election in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The position of DA of Norfolk County will be on that ballot. If the law, sanity and critical thinking does not prevail in this jury's verdict maybe the 2026 election will be the entity to finally grant Ms. Read her freedom. As for any official apologies...IMO unlikely.

Note the absence of frequent irrelevant objections.  As a faux-expert this person's testimony endangers a woman's life and disrespects the memory of Officer O'Keefe. IMO these people (the faux-experts) and their employers hired by the Commonwealth have been designated as expendable, acceptable collateral damage and just not relevant to the survival of certain individuals in power specifically in certain communities and generally in the Commonwealth. FOR REGISTERED VOTERS in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts there is an election on November 3 2026 with many positions on that ballot, including DA of Norfolk County. I have heard that regarding cults of any kind that one of the biggest barriers in removing a long term cult member is their own confirmation bias. Acknowledging aloud that you wasted your time, your trust and your life in a cult is highly difficult. The result is the person, even with doubts, stays in. The O'Keefe family appears quite in line with the "McAlberts".  I also agree that Brennan took on this job of SP for a reason. IMO it was not for money or fame. That leaves one reason...power. However like many careers of those aligned with the prosecution, Special Prosecutor Brennan's own ambitions will take a very hard hit. REMINDER for registered Massachusetts voters, the next Commonwealth-wide election is on November 3 2026. This may be the only chance to help Karen Read to regain her life and the Commonwealth to regain its honor. As for Officer O'Keefe, due to the incompetence of LE, MST and the hubris of others we may never know what caused this tragedy.

It was also a surprisingly accurate view of the attorneys, their styles and the witnesses. I lost faith in juries after the first trial. A jury has considerable power which can be tempered by an unbiased judge and an ethical prosecutor who values justice not fame, not money and not power. In this trial that ideal judge and prosecutor are essentially nonexistent. So I do worry. While the Commonwealth election of November 3, 2026 may "right the ship", that is still a long time away from an early June 2025 (probable end of this trial) verdict which potentially could be based more on smoke and mirrors than evidence and/or reasonable doubt.

I have been following this case since the first trial. As of this comment Brian Higgins has not yet testified in the retrial (aka trial #2). Brian Higgins appears to be much more subject to his emotions and fears than many of the other witnesses. Obviously testifying in court is quite stressful. However, this case seems unique. I have never seen so many witnesses within one trial, even within one day of said trial who seemed to have a decent memory, good command of the English language and benign expression on direct by Prosecution suddenly do a 180 during the cross by the Defense. In a matter of seconds these witnesses (most of the civilian category, along with a few belonging to the expert category) show a sudden onset of amnesia, partial aphasia (or almost scripted/rote answers) and aggressive posturing. Looking forward to Part 2.

Ant seemed to be on-point with describing the family's low income, being overwhelmed (he had 2, she had 2 and they had the baby) and possible neglect due to exhaustion (these two missing children may have been on the autism spectrum). My hope is that someone either local or perhaps distant family members decided to help the children become part of a more stable family (not thinking cult). Otherwise, this adventure and journey of these two little ones most likely ended tragically.

INNUENDO or ACCURATE, you decide. The Karen Read saga started on January 29 2022 with the d3ath of Officer John O'Keefe. Karen Read had been dating Officer O'Keefe. They yelled...a lot. Mom O'Keefe was never a fan of Karen Read. Officer O'Keefe was a single adoptive dad of two. Karen Read grew to like and even love the children. The location of this saga was a small town with some powerful but quite narrow-minded residents who were/are fond of using alcohol more frequently than water. These narrow-minded small town powerful people had even more powerful friends at the palace (aka the County and the Commonwealth). The County of Norfolk and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts operate similar to a medieval kingdom with largesse (aka power and money) given as favors to friends of "the King" or "the Prince". While non-friends get nothing but problems. Remember how angry the King of England (think UK) got in 1776? That reaction on a slightly smaller scale was comparable to reactions of the county of Norfolk and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Everyone yelled at one another saying, "it's your fault" and "no it's your fault". Mandatory attendance at a circus of a court soon followed. Many lied foolishly. Others developed amnesia. A few were brave and true. As of the date of this comment that circus is still in town with fools, wizards and general populace in attendance. CLIFFHANGER to this story: the positions of "King" and "Prince" are only a few of the titles that will be on the ballot of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts on November 3 2026.๐Ÿ˜‰

I enjoyed this discussion. I come from an area that has its own well-documented "issues" with LE and judges. What can be done to avoid corruption and incompetence? As a candidate on a ballot, there is the chance of putting someone in power that has a familiar name and/or known endorsement. If person is appointed, there is the inherent danger of power being concentrated in too few hands. What is the solution? Oversight by a neutral party?  Annually "checks" mandated when a position is acquired by appointment? Professional peer reviewed credentials filed before your name can be placed on the ballot? It is all so confusing. I now regret skipping a course elective in Constitutional Law, but I did take the elective in Ethics. Probably completion of both courses should be linked to the award of any diploma in higher education.

One has to wonder why a man as smart (admittedly deficient in other areas such as ethics...allegedly) as Brennan (1) took this job and (2) asked Matthew DiSorga some of the dumbest questions that I have ever heard (that includes twitter). After Brennan's cross of DiSorga, full disclosure, I was doubly confused. Both by the caliber of the questions matched with Brennan's seemingly magically disappearing IQ. So why? Perhaps to guarantee a mistrial by confusion (aka smoke and mirrors)? Brennan would like a guilty verdict, however doubtful that is his primary goal.  As for Proctor, guessing either defense knows he will take the 5th or be otherwise unavailable for testimony in this trial. Either retrial (aka trial #3) or Appellate Court as Uncivil said, neither are good for Karen Read, family of Officer O'Keefe nor the taxpayers of the Commonwealth.

I have personal knowledge of that sad situation. There should be no guilt in that decision. With the inevitable family issues (you can pick your friends, but not so much your relatives) compounded by a cult encouraging individuals to devalue family and friends is not making this a better world, quite the opposite in fact. However to make them relevant (and profitable) you will need not just a sufficient budget, but also a strong creative team and a rejuvenated vision.

So 3 out of the 5 voting members of the Clearwater City Council, do not know why Scientology is asking for this property. It seems that the yes voters do not know what is to be done with property of an entire street. Do these 3 selectmen understand that they have potentially sold their town's future to an organization with a beyond problematic history in treatment of their own members and those who disagree with their policies? Have these 3 looked into other Scientology purchased buildings within other communities? Have those communities, or areas prospered due to these purchases? What has Scientology promised the town of Clearwater Florida? Have these "promises" been throughly vetted by an attorney. Are any commitments/promises being placed within an enforceable contract?  As I post this comment the date is April 1st. QUESTION: I have seen this in many comments, what about admitting professional textbooks used in Commonwealth police academies as evidence? For example, a MST textbook/video on how to investigate and secure a crime scene along with a manual/video on equipment that Commonwealth of Massachusetts LE should always carry (which probably does not include red solo cups, Stop&Shop grocery bags and a leaf blower) when responding to a crime scene.

Posted to Lawyer Lee (RE: Town of Canton MA police dept. audit) Uploaded on 04/02/25

I expected the mostly favorable tone of this report. I agree that there are small sections favoring the defense. However would Judge Cannone allow the jury to hear/read the entire report not just selections chosen by SP Brennan? As Lawyer Lee noted page 59 of the report (equates to page 64 on the PDF) calls a leaf blower "innovative use". The other evidence collection anomalies, such as red Solo cups and S&S paper grocery bags were called, "resourceful attempts". By the time that Canton LE had located Officer O'Keefe the snow had increased, but was not a blizzard condition. This tragedy did not happen on an isolated island or on a mountain peak. Per a certain map app from a certain site (which Judge Cannone seems to be aware of) the home at 34 Fairview in Canton is less than 2 (actually 1.4)  miles away from the Canton Police Station located at 1492 Washington Street. If the Canton mobile units and even the Canton LE headquarters had zero evidence collection materials, expertise or even yellow police crime scene tape, wouldn't another local LE have such supplies and personnel? I find it difficult to believe that within the boundaries of the town of Canton no one ever un-alives either by accident or design. Where was an offer of assistance (in delivery of equipment at least) from Officer O'Keefe's employer, the Boston Police Department?  Meanwhile the taxpayers of Canton Massachusetts, and perhaps the entire Commonwealth, have paid $198,000 for a report utilizing questionable methods (as in the demo interviewed) while issuing the expected "pat on the heads of LE" conclusions. I could have done this report for 2k (oddly the difference between 198k and 200k).๐Ÿ˜‰

THANK YOU to Peter for continuing to try to make order out of this chaos. IMO the defense attorneys allowing the media coverage was essentially to get the world to watch. Admittedly that strategy is a gamble, but getting the Read trial to a not guilty verdict would never happen under current circumstances in the Commonwealth. With a judge who accepts all prosecution pleas and speculations then denies most defense pleas and experts has made the legal playing field as far from level as is an ancient cobblestone road in Boston.  I do not see how this trial can end with justice for either Karen Read or Officer John O'Keefe.

I have always felt that science education and critical thinking skills has suffered due to years of budget cuts in education. Now we have proof. Does not matter whether the Norovirus hitched (note the western thematic reference) a ride with a local or an out-of-town human. I am not often on the CDC site, but I am pretty sure that first way to handle a contagion is not to disperse said contagion before science has entered the building and completed tests. I assume Tucson likes having tourists?  Most likely (and allegedly) this contagion originated from a contaminated food source within the hotel or a lack of proper sanitation also within said hotel (allegedly x 2).  Thank you to Sarah for violating her own HIPAA to solve the mystery and prove it publicly. I appreciated Bryon's very clear and passionate commentary. Usually I am alone shouting at my monitor (scaring my 2 cats) while Judge Cannone and SP Brennan metaphorically rip up the Constitution and several of its amendments. Of course when the defense requests a witness or makes a plea, the Judge has plenty to say mostly with the word "denied" inserted.  I wonder if this audit will produce any positives?  My faith in the auditors' skillset is somewhat shaken by their comments: the use of red Solo cups and S&S paper grocery bags were "resourceful attempts" while a leaf blower was "innovative use". Unless the town of Canton relocated to an island in the Pacific or onto the top peak of Everest, assistance was out there. Maybe a phone call to Boston PD (aka the employer of Officer O'Keefe) for certain critical supplies and personnel?

Harry and Meghan provoke visceral reactions. To see this conflict more clearly, remove the royal labels, treat Harry and Meghan as wealthy, famous, 2nd generation philanthropists using the charity to not only benefit those in need, but also raise up their own reputations as public figures. Sophie Chandauka projects as a very intelligent individual who is capable of being the chair of a charity. With admittedly the limited information that I have, it seems that her sole deficit was in not understanding the deficiencies of the charity's founder. BTW I agree with Chase Hughes, in that Harry and Meghan probably see themselves as victims. I hope that Mark Bowden's "dream" happens and (back to the royal world) that Prince William takes over the charity.

The U.S. Constitution allows any individual certain rights irregardless as to the horrendous crime of which one has been accused of and even if one is convicted. I can accept that from the U.S. legal system. In the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, there is a defendant not convicted of the crime for which she is on trial, who has not been been allowed rights guaranteed by that same document. She has been denied a right to (all) counsels of her choice. She was considered guilty by LE only hours after the victim was discovered. This woman has been denied in some cases or has to fight in other cases for qualified experts. A basic right, the concept of "reasonable doubt" appears to not apply in this particular jurisdiction. It is understood that this is the practice of law, not necessarily the usage of ethics, but I still wonder. How healthy can a legal system be if it can be co-opted by one judge in one jurisdiction of one town in 1/50th of the U.S. ?

Is it simply my fatigue due to migraines or is Judge Cannone even more obviously biased, argumentative and pro-prosecution than she was at the first trial? I am not alleging corruption, mental impairment or incompetence. Whatever the cause, IMO she seems to now care even less about appearing as an impartial jurist in law and an objective attitude in her manner.

Posted to Lawyer You Know (RE: Darrell Brooks to go Pro Se for appellate filing) 0406/2025

I have been reminded on many channels watching attorney commentaries, that the Constitution of the United States must be applied to the worst of us to work for all of us. Darrell Brooks is responsible for so much tragedy, yet he is being treated fairly by the legal system. While Karen Read is enduring a second trial with far fewer rights than a convicted mass un-aliver.

Courtroom Confidential(Joshua Ritter interview-Idaho Statesman investigative reporter Kevin Fixler)

I appreciate and learn more from interviews that are informational not theatrical. Thank you to both Joshua Ritter and investigative reporter Kevin Fixler  who relied on what are known facts and what is legal. I hope that all investigative groups involved in the search and collection of evidence adhered strictly to U.S. law and the Constitution. If not, Kohberger can walk away from this trial free from any criminal indictment. To see what NOT to do by a presiding judge and prosecution in a criminal trial, watch the hearings/juror placements leading to the (2nd) trial of Karen Read in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Actual incidents are best for discussing relevant points in law. I still find it difficult to solely focus on the intellectual puzzle that is law with a tragedy such as this one. Thank you to Kurt for being so clear and so calm. QUESTION:  what is the status of the incident from Lynchburg Virginia regarding the battery committed during a high school championship relay race?  I believe that an assault and battery charge has been filed against Ms. Everett for striking Ms. Tucker during that relay race with a baton. I only saw two images of that portion of the race. One made the action look deliberate and another looked like more of an accident. With all the parents and school officials at that event, not to mention security footage,  there has to be more evidence than what I was able to find.

That ugly artifact did not help Jussie Smollett either keep his acting job and/or increase his salary at the series "Empire". His story did garner him considerable notoriety, negativity and a career-ending result. With cameras recording government employee entrances/exits and the entire department testing negative for a DNA match, Occam's razor would indicate that Ms. Brown planted the rope. BTW I am assuming that her DNA was found within the knot portion of that rope.

THANK YOU! This video showed that it was not just me noticing all the cheap looking costumes lately. Ironically even though it is not set in an actual time and place it took the latest incarnation of Snow White to make me realize just how bad costumes looked. Why is Snow White's love match (a "prince" of thieves to borrow a phrase) in a hoodie? This shade is totally on  Disney, not the tailors, designers, costumers and certainly not on Rachel Zegler (who yes needs a quick PR course on how to navigate MSM and social media). Rachel Zegler was a big plus for this film. Somehow under Disney's watch they put what looks like a party-store 25 USD costume on the titular character in a movie that cost in the mid 200 million USD. Maybe made sense to the accountants, but apparently to no one else.

The Russell Brand in the video that I just viewed, does seem believable. However the Russell Brand of the past, has likely committed acts that the Russell Brand of this day and time would condemn. Should he be defending himself in court years later? I will leave that up to the alleged victim(s) and the legal system to decide. The theatrical religious terms that Mr. Brand uses do ring alarms (as Mark Bowden said) with me. That could be my prejudice filtering his words. Is Russell Brand a very good actor definitely. Has Russell Brand has been transformed by faith, maybe. Most of us can change for better or worse. However we do owe those we treated badly (or criminally) apologies and perhaps even recompense.

Unfortunately, he is a husband, father, and chronologically an adult. Even worse as Harry is member of a rich and powerful family his mistakes are very well-publicized. Intriguing thought experiment, what if in the early 2000's DM had "disappeared" (due to illness, natural passing or just "transferred" to a remote location). Would Shelly Miscavige have taken control? How would this cult have developed under her administration? Would criminal behavior such as SA and Traff3ing still occurred and been covered up?  I agree that schools need to institute courses from K - high school to teach and encourage the development of critical thinking skills. Not only would it help short term in understanding mathematics and sciences, but those skills are vital to our survival in a very complicated world. BTW I am glad this channel is still called "Jenna Miscavige".  Never underestimate an AI/search algorithm for giving options.

One of The Behavior Panel brought up an interesting point, that Jennifer McCabe may be familiar with police interrogation techniques. That assumption is 100% accurate. Jennifer McCabe's home town of Canton Massachusetts is a very interesting place. Most of the influential citizens are either LE, married to LE, related by genetics to LE, related by marriage to LE and owing their livelihood to LE. The Read case is difficult to explain. I would recommend viewing almost any of legal commentaries on YT for background. Without going into the mess that is the Read case, the basics are that Canton (in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts) is a relatively small town that is approximately 20 miles outside of Boston. Canton residents include several powerful families who have reached critical mass of instability. This can be best described with a quote by Lord Acton. "Power tends to corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely”.  BTW: while I wish everyone on The Behavior Panel, live long and prosper, I find an altered Scott Rouse hilarious.๐Ÿ––

The introduction to this video not only would have been extremely effective in addressing the jury on day one of court, but also contained editing, video work and a script that was superior to many recent Netflix docs that I have had the misfortune to watch. The Lori that I watched in this video has put her delusion of divinity and extreme religiosity on hold. More scary than any monstrous creature in a horror/slasher movie, is the one that hides in plain sight preying on the innocent and unwary. For legal purposes, I agree that the Lori we see here is sane. Physically/medically I do not know what she is or how she is. As an amateur (not trained in mental health field) my guess is that some part of her prefrontal cortex is not operational. She can probably define empathy, concern and pity, but I doubt if she could apply those concepts in any meaningful manner. This woman should never be allowed to live in an open society for the remainder of her life. She may even pose a danger to the mental health of other inmates.

I agree with the behavior noticed, but not with the stated conclusion of guilt. Richard Allen is being protective of his body. He is becoming irritated with LE. Richard Allen is losing control. However, Richard Allen has no history of SA that I have come across. He does have long term issues with depression. In the past, he has blamed himself for issues/events that he was not responsible for. While good at his job, he seemed to have no confidence in his abilities. Richard Allen has a history of being easily influenced by authority figures. While I am not ruling out that he is indeed guilty, there were many problems with the local investigation, his treatment while in custody, the conditions of his custody, his "confession" during that year in custody and certain restrictions put on Allen's defense by the presiding judge. Andrea Burkhart who is an appellate attorney with a YT channel has published a series of videos concerning this trial.    @aburkhartlaw

I appreciated Bill Burr's take on celebrity interviews. Everyone can have an opinion on anything. Were that not the case then social media would whither then pass quietly into oblivion. Sound bites and click bait is not reporting, it is twitter. As for this wave of deportations, I sense it is being done so certain people can tell other people, look at how many dangerous people that have been removed? To circle back to Bill Burr, what is happening to human beings is analogous to MSM and social media's click bait and sound bites. On the surface the stats look good, feel good, until an intelligent human looks at the individual stories of those deportations to see a lack of due process for all. There is a certain Pledge most of us know which states, "...and liberty and justice for all." While I am not fond of any particular party, I wonder would it have been this bad if someone else had won the U.S. presidential election? The horrific thought is, maybe yes.

Set up 4 year scholarships for women pursuing education in technological fields? Did any of these "Astronauts" go through training whether physical or occupational? Did they at least have to level up in a video game such as Mass Effect, Halo or even Space Invaders? Now that would have been interesting to watch. I do not condemn these vacationers. However, I do wonder at their utter cluelessness.

How are we here in this reality after that blunt and honest observation made in June 1954 directed to Senator McCarthy by attorney (chief counsel of the U.S. Army during Army--McCarthy Hearings) Joseph Welch,  "Have you no sense of decency...?" That happened over SEVENTY years ago.  Social media is a double-edged sword. I appreciate the irony in that I am ensconced in an algorithmic echo chamber that I willing entered when I set up my profile "centuries ago" on FB. Yet an algorithm somehow directed me to Gold Shaw Farm which then led to me subscribing to this channel. Makes me melancholy that we have to relearn how to be an empathetic and critical thinking member of humanity. I can see an analogy from current politics to the medical in the acquisition of a minor cut or abrasion which is subsequently exposed to unfavorable environments. Now what started out as an annoyance has become a highly difficult problem to cure. Always a great discussion with Mark Bederow on board. It puzzles me that SP Brennan wants the texts read aloud. They are NOT audio phone calls. If those existed then the recordings could be heard in court. Unless this "read-aloud" is being done due to juror needs such as deafness or blindness, there is no need for this action. I agree with other comments. In the case of jury needs then either have an attorney read the texts aloud or use AI (without inflection feature). BTW Whenever Mark Bederow talks about "...graduates from the twitter college of law." I find it is hilarious. Confirmation bias is strong in those "graduates".

I saw this trip as a celebrity novelty vacation. I had flashes of the Titan submersible disaster (Stockton Rush CEO of OceanGate) which thankfully did not repeat itself above the ocean.  I recently learned that 2 of the 6 women on this flight were actual scientists; Aisha Bowe, aerospace engineer and Amanda Nguyen, bioastronautics researcher. Seems like a PR mistake to neglect to emphasize that there were 2 scientists on board. Jeff Bezos' company, Blue Origin has a decent idea regarding space tourism. However, at the moment only the 1% can afford the golden ticket to that particular ride. This coming at a time when more terrestrial forms of entertainment such as theme parks and streaming services fees are rising in prices. This is not a good look or good PR. QUESTION: for a follow up reading, what is the future of space tourism for the "average" resident of planet Earth?

Keep a journal of all the changes/upgrades/rehabs. Possible publishable journal titles, "There and Back Again (1st check with The Tolkien Trust as they take IP VERY seriously) subtitled...a home's journey from Art Deco to early 2000's and Back Again" or "There's A Deer in My Carport" (sounds like a 1980's sitcom) or "The Deer Own This Neighborhood" (threatening tone especially if deer are zombies). BTW As there is never just ONE deer in a neighborhood here are a few suggestions for deer names: Chris, Harry and Stoney (in honor of the home's builders). Life gets complicated. Any time that can be spent on legal analysis and commentary is much appreciated, but not expected at the expense of any family members, new, old, feline or canine. My hypothesis for these interviews to be released after the trial (aka trial one), was that they was the lesser of two evils and an insurance policy. While dangerous, publicity was the best way to be sure Karen Read was not treated similarly to Enrique Delgado-Garcia or Sandra Birchmore. I think that the Prosecution's clip show has an achilles heel. It cuts and pastes moments of an interview without full context. Reality shows, MSM click bait and social media has encouraged many of us to distrust the accuracy of edited/produced videos. SPOILER: day 2 with the cross of Kerry Roberts is VERY enlightening.

I do like the DUI Guy doing a witness analysis with trials one and two with commentaries on specific testimonies. I know that I am just a watcher not a defendant, but I find that viewing full days of trial two is not helpful to my mental health. I am not certain that Kerry knows the seriousness of what she has done during the cross. She essentially, perhaps not legally, admitted to perjury. Her mention of a TIMELINE being assembled with Jen McCabe was done in the manner of "no big deal" to Alan Jackson. Now speculate, who would Kerry trust implicitly, follow without question and probably believe lies such as, "don't worry you can just say that you forgot"? It took the Murdaugh (as in Alex Murdaugh, convicted un-aliver and fraudster) family 4 generations to descend to this level of hypocrisy and hubris. I have been partitioning most the Read trial coverage for myself. What was fascinatingly unbelievable and riveting in Read Trial one, is becoming difficult to watch without affecting my mental health. I cannot begin to imagine how Karen Read, her friends, family and defense team are managing to keep going, keep fighting. Certain individuals of power in Canton and in Norfolk County have REALLY misread the room. The longer this farce goes on, the more power they lose. As for Brennan's opening, sure much more relevant and approachable than Lally's but that bar is quite low. Brennan's dramatized recitation was only missing that infamous bad novel trope, "It was a dark and stormy night...". What bothers me, as was said, what does the jury think?

Posted to Law & Crime Podcast (RE: Read Interviews and other trials) Uploaded on 04/26/2025

I agree that a defendant should never give interviews. However the Read case is a rarity (although there is the Delphi case) in that there is rampant corruption and widespread incompetence at a very high level. Potentially, the stellar defense team supporting Karen Read should be able to counter these interviews.  Should Read trial 2 again end in a mistrial. I would not be shocked to learn that the Commonwealth will continue to trial three. There is a major election in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in 2026. The position of DA of Norfolk County goes up for election that year. At that point, perhaps fresh eyes within the Commonwealth will finally find better uses for taxpayers' money. The Lawyer You Know did a commentary on the DA's initial statement concerning the Read trial to of the citizens of Massachusetts.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wEtHnlk5ylA   It is a good video to see early on what Read's defense team had to counter.

Posted to Legal Bytes (RE: Karen Read Trial 2 Day 2) Uploaded to You Tube on 04/27/2025

Thank you for this clear concise recap. After trial one, my trust in jury deliberations and verdicts is somewhat diminished. My guess is that the easiest points for a jury to understand and/or be taught are "the basics": (1) reasonable doubt (2) Officer O'Keefe's injuries/cause of d3ath were in no scientific way related to a pedestrian vs. vehicle scenario and finally (3) make ABSOLUTELY certain that the jury understands the verdict form that they are given. However, a 2nd mistrial would not surprise me. Even if the best case scenario happens with a not guilty verdict the civil suit against Karen Read will most likely proceed. As a civil case needs less direct evidence to give the plaintiff a "win", that is when all those interviews will probably cause the most damage to Karen Read. There is a Massachusetts anti-SLAPP law,  Mass. Gen. Laws Ann. ch. 231, § 59H. However I am not sure it would gain Karen Read, anything more than extra time before the civil suit discovery phase would begin. Ugh, this is all such a mess which probably began in a drunken brawl...IMO.

Posted to LTL Media (RE: Interview-journalist Jason Broyles aka Not Hailey Walbrecht) 04/28/2025

Aidan Kearney (Turtle Boy) with whatever anyone thinks of his style of reporting, stayed the course and found the truth. His reward has been harassment, indictment and jail. Experts on some channels are adamant that a defendant should never give interviews. This is absolutely accurate...in probably 99% of all cases. IMO, I believe MSM became the lesser of two evils for the defense team in the case of Karen Read. The identity of the other "evil" can be left to speculation which would probably be more on point than๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜‰ Breenan (aka Brennan) can speculate. There was no indictment in the case of Sandra Birchmore until there was massive publicity.  There are people in, or connected to power who have no shame, no ethics and seemingly no knowledge of the rights as outlined in the U.S. Constitution and its amendments. I hope that Read trial 2 ends with science, justice and the defense team winning the day. However, unless dismissed with prejudice there is still the O'Keefe Family civil suit. Perhaps Karen Read will be vindicated and returned to a life. No such conclusion, not even honor will be there for the life and accomplishments of Officer John O'Keefe.

I appreciate the strength of those able to freely give forgiveness. As was said strong negative emotions will do the most harm to the person feeling them rather than the object of those feelings. I can never thoroughly understand the pain of what the Franke children have lived through, especially the 2 youngest ones. Forgiving Kevin Franke is fine. However those deciding custody of the Franke children need remembrance as much as forgiveness. Can Kevin Franke be trusted to take sole care of 4 very traumatized children? Before he can care for others, he needs help to thoroughly come to terms with his own past actions and inactions. Aren't two of Ruby's sisters also family vloggers? Might be interesting to know what they think of their niece's very cogent and well-written presentation to Utah legislative hearing.

NOT POSTED: Possibly people are confusing the meaning of the word "forgiveness" with the word "trust". For example I can forgive a person who committed a crime. However trusting that same individual without question, without monitoring, would be unwise. A very silly example is in the PEANUTS cartoon with Lucy's habitual behavior of removing the football just as Charlie Brown extends his leg to kick. Yes Charlie Brown is the trusting victim. Yes Lucy is the long-time perpetrator. However, after countless experiences of Lucy's action isn't Charlie Brown just a little complicit? ๐Ÿ˜‰

Unfortunately this case has so much back story, so much history of power unchecked, that making it easy for jury consumption is unlikely.  Obviously it is the job of LE not the defense, to find those who committed this crime (good luck with that). Even if it were the defense's job, they have been hampered by the prosecution and judge who seem to be afflicted with ARCCA-phobia. The fact that Hank Brennan has quite the rep as an aggressive defense attorney (Whitey Bulger 2013 trial) is probably why the Commonwealth hired him. Karen Read was/is a convenient pawn. BTW to registered voters in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the position of DA of Norfolk County goes up for election in 2026.

MY REPLY POSTED TO A COMMENTOR:  You have to turn over all communications because the prosecutor is trying to insinuate an excuse to exclude while insisting that he isn't.  MY REPLY: I am beginning to think that it was not bad judgement on the Commonwealth's part to employ a special prosecutor who was well known in a recent previous lifetime as a defense attorney (June 2013 Whitey Bulger trial) capable ignoring ethics and manipulating the law in the service of his client.

I sure wouldn't want any one messing with my former home and its contents before a sale was inked.  My guess is LE knows exactly who and where this person is. I think that it is a paperwork issue as there has to be probable cause to approach and get a judge to sign off on a search and arrest warrant. FULL DISCLOSURE: I may have been watching too many trials for too many months on YT live streams. Hence, I MAY have been somewhat affected. Just call me "Ms. Obvious".๐Ÿคฃ

Two of the women were in STEM, the others were there because of their fame or contacts. Whoever ran the PR for this trip should resign or be fired ASAP.  Blue Origin's New Shepard rocket could have been so much more. Perhaps a way to encourage more women to enter tech fields. Maybe create scholarships. Make donations to small businesses owned and operated by women. Maybe something like that happened, if so I did not hear about it. So now everyone is grumbling about billionaire vacations and privilege. I have not seen Katy Perry's new touring show, but whether due to a lack of quality or just plain bad buzz about the space trip, it is not doing well. Leave it to a billionaire to make space travel seem silly, boring, problematic and entitled.

Posted to Collier Landry (RE: Convo regarding Karen Read case) Uploaded on 04/30/2025

Full disclosure, I have probably become overly interested concerning the Karen Read (and Sandra Birchmore) cases. There is also the unresolved cause of death of Trooper Enrique Delgado-Garcia who was on police academy grounds in New Braintree Massachusetts when his injuries led to his death on September 13 2024. I agree that defendant interviews were (and are) dangerous. However this is a very strange case which needed publicity. Judge Cannone was the judge on Read trial one. She should have recused herself before trial one due to connections with witnesses in the Read case. She did not. Judge Cannone is also the judge for trial 2. She has shown a certain "leaning" for the prosecution side while scolding the defense for relatively minor issues. To get up to speed, I would recommend a watch of the pre-trial hearings from February, 2025 thru April 1 (yes the Commonwealth begin jury selection on THAT day) to get a quick impression of the major players. Conspiracy may not be the best word to use for this case. Corruption and incompetence are better descriptors of why Karen Read is sitting at the defense table for a 2nd time.

I appreciate Mia and Mama Maples showing that most of us will need an assist to figure out the geometry and stability of the conversions. I have seen demos on social media which make the process look SO simple. This is a great idea for a bride who wants everyone coordinated but still allow for differing preferences, shapes and sizes. Plus in a bridal party you have your own "village" of friends to be sure that you get it done. Perhaps just me, but if a dress or outfit requires a tutorial I am not on board. My IQ is not high enough to deal with complex geometric patterns and shapes in the AM (actually any part of a day or night). Full disclosure: on a cloudy day when I was a bit rushed, I ended up at work with one black shoe and one navy shoe.๐Ÿ˜‰

I am here from Rachel Maksy's channel. I adore the whimsey, adorability and 100% cuteness of these life-like re-imaginings that are now keepsakes. No problems with rodents or insects (wasps are also my nemeses)!  No special space requirements. These creations make me smile. Do you have an ETSY store? BTW I have subscribed. I hope to catch up on past projects as I can always use more smiles.

Posted to The Young Jurks (RE: Commentary with Mark Bederow) Uploaded to You Tube 05/02/2025

I always enjoy Mark Bederow commentaries. Mazza's takes are on point. I can tell that Mark Bederow's patience with the twitter 'torneys (misspelling deliberate) is understandably frayed. It is likely that what actually happened to Officer O'Keefe will never be known. The utter failure of the Canton LE and MSP to perform their jobs competently, ethically and properly is the reason Officer O'Keefe's family will not get closure. I do agree that 99% of defendant interviews before a verdict are dangerous. From the moment of the statement "blame it on the girl" (Proctor?) was uttered this case became different. The only reason I can come up with for all these interviews is that the defense wanted to make sure that Karen Read's case was not hidden and not covered up. It is too late to save Sandra Birchmore and Trooper Enrique Delgado-Garcia. Perhaps ethics and the law can save Karen Read.

Posted to Law & Lumber (RE: Read Trial 2 Day 7 with Runkle) Uploaded to You Tube 05/03/2025

Replay crew here. Runkle and Rob were informative and entertaining. Even a fatigued Runkle has wit and wisdom.  @5:46:00-5:48:00 Jen McCabe has taken fabrication to an Olympic level. Admittedly my opinion is affected by the advantage of having access to commentaries from some very intelligent individuals. As for the jury, I am not sure if Jen McCabe's unusual and sudden appearance of amnesia was as obvious to them. I will go for the middle ground with the jury seeing a possibly confused soccer (actually basketball) Mom who has the habit of being combative on even the smallest details when questioned by the defense. I do agree with Rob in that perhaps Jackson's style was not at A+ levels. However this trial is another kind of animal. There is a judge behaving as a defacto prosecution co-chair. As such the playing field for the defense is a steep hill not a level field. Sometimes precision and finesse is not possible with a more meandering format the only way to travel around and past a sustained objection by this judge.

I agree with Dave Neal. This is not condoning the behavior or "Hollywood"-ethics of  Lively and Reynolds. This is analysis. Ashley's observations seems to be on point. I agree with Dave Neal,  Lively has most likely convinced herself that she was on the right side in all of this. In a very brief analysis, I see this beginning as a bossy, beautiful, entitled person coming up against a relatively untested employer/co-star/director who made it clear that he wanted everyone to get along peacefully. I do not see a trial helping anyone's career long term at this point. No doubt Baldoni would (and should) get a financially healthy settlement, I am not sure if his professional life would also get a comparable boost. Remember "Hollywood"-ethics problem is not just Lively and Reynolds, it is the entertainment INDUSTRY.

For Travis Kelce, I am going with Occam's Razor for any muting or unfollowing reasons. There is enough REAL drama in our day-to-day lives AND attorney Bryan Freedman will probably try to subpoena electronic data (although potential privacy issues) from everyone within 5 miles of Baldoni since this attorney took Baldoni's case. "Cancelled" pod members will be just fine. I mean talk about being self-aware, look at the name of their podcast? Anyway calling a "pre-" or "at-" or "post-" (Coachella) outfit boring or worse is not a statement denigrating anyone's value as a human being. It is only an opinion regarding a literally superficial item, not an immutable character trait. Talk about drama! Unfortunately/fortunately (depending on your inclinations) Lively, Reynolds, and even Baldoni have become living memes. You see their image(s), immediately you think certain thoughts, go to certain conclusions. If you want to learn about, or experience actual drama, speculate about only having a Green Card or temporary U.S. visa in your actual/virtual wallet.๐Ÿ‘€

Posted to LegalBytes (RE: Karen Read Trial 2 - Day 6 Recap) Uploaded to You Tube on 05/04/2025

Legal experts keep reminding all of us that jury 2 will probably not have the opinions, at this point in trial 2, as do many regular followers of any of the law channels on YT. I seemingly cannot go back to that long ago time, when I believed KR might be guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. To jury 2 it is possible that any lack of efficacy or logic or even ordinary details from the prosecution's expert and civilian witnesses is not as obvious as it is to me. What I think that is probably more obvious to jury 2 is the quantity of objections by the defense to the prosecution's speculations being overruled. While Judge Cannone has sustained most prosecution statements or questions when objected to by the defense. After all, these rulings have happened SO MANY times, how could they not notice?

Posted to Jenna Miscavige (RE: Leaving Scientology) Uploaded to You Tube on 05/03/2025

Jenna Miscavige's description is eerily similar to experiences in a prison atmosphere, not an organization (aka cult) which purports to save humanity. The only assist I can this cult giving is to one cult leader's finances. Considering political realities, I do not see that the illegally obtained (thru threats and intimidations) tax exemption from the U. S. government being rescinded anytime soon. I am so glad that the foundation exists to help those who have escaped their own version of 1984 (novel by George Orwell). IF I thought that the U.S. representatives and senators would read and understand this book, I would say a mass mailing would be instructive. Note the ...IF.

Posted to Attorney Larry Forman (RE: Alan Jackson/Defense's Cross of Jen McCabe) 05/04/2025

When Larry Forman spoke his own commercial (in a format that was short and to the point, not annoying like those YT monolithic commercials), it gave me an idea. Thought experiment: what if this trial ends with subpoenas issued. Maybe issued by a certain federal agency. Or perhaps, taking a huge leap here, issued by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts due to the many "creative" responses made in June 2022 to the Norfolk Count Grand Jury. Would Larry Forman/his firm represent any individual(s) who were indicted concerning lying to a grand jury or during either of the two Read trials? What about Kerry Roberts concerning her problematic testimony in Read trial 2? With my zero knowledge of legal ethics, perhaps this question should only be asked and answered in the abstract, without naming a potential client. Would a client that provably perjured themselves either before a grand jury or during a criminal trial be accepted as a client? If so, would the best strategy be (ALERT: irony) a plea deal?

Posted to Attorney Melanie Little (RE: Criminal Def Atty, Tom Kokonowski) Uploaded 05/04/2025

I thoroughly enjoyed this conversation. Tom Kokonowski is intelligent, well-informed and not afraid to alter his opinion when presented with additional data (re: Jackson's style of cross of Jen McCabe). Those are an excellent mixture of traits for an effective criminal defense attorney. I am guessing that his genial attitude while genuine, may be a plus regarding opposing counsels or judges (who may think that they are opposing counsels๐Ÿ˜‰) who possibly underestimate his skill set. It certainly helps keep the jury focused on him and not potentially alienated.  BTW More David Harbour with a touch of Josh Brolin's chin than full Drew Carey IMO.

Posted to Uncivil Law (RE: Karen Read Trial )Uploaded to You Tube on 05/05/2025

I would love to hear a discussion regarding confessions and juries. Why do 12 jurors, previously unknown to one another, accept as truth what one person not in that group can see as problematic? Confessions are evidence. In that sense reasonable doubt should still attach if the confessor is mentally impaired or highly susceptible to those who have power over them. Not evidence I know, but interesting in how calm most of the civilians describe themselves as being during that time in January 2022. Jen McCabe and others seemed to find Karen Read's lack of control annoying and irritating. LE even sent her in for a psych evaluation. Favoring the prosecution: (1) Judge Cannone has upped her game in a deviously clever manner in that she allows ARCCA and Dr. Marie Russell in for the defense, but let the prosecution bring in "experts" such as a meteorologist (cosplaying as environmental geologist/climatologist) and dog behaviorist PhD (trying to be an MD?). (2) Brennan appears to be a much better witness coach than Lally (shocker, I know). I will be more concerned if Kurt still has the same viewpoint several days into the defense's examinations.

Pinned comment from the 05/06/2025 Community page of Carl Steinbeck:

It's almost like they intentionally botched the crime scene so nobody could get prosecuted.

MY REPLY:  The only thing missing from Carl Steinbeck's post is the emoji ๐Ÿ˜‰. I know that corruption which allows the rights of the very few (aka certain Canton residents) to supersede the rights of the many (as in Karen Read, Officer O'Keefe, The O'Keefe family and the friends and relatives of both individuals) is present. However, after Gallagher's testimony on cross, I am beginning to think that the basic, generic,  unfortunately ordinary incompetence is equally at fault. Maybe this is a win, albeit sad, for the principle of Occam's razor?
