I agree that many of us are tired of these live action remakes. Disney made/makes the mistake of listening only to the accountants and not the creatives. Any corporation whose primary product is entertainment needs to consider both groups. Remakes can work. However to make them relevant (and profitable) you will need not just a sufficient budget, but also a strong creative team and a rejuvenated vision.

So 3 out of the 5 voting members of the Clearwater City Council, do not know why Scientology is asking for this property. It seems that the yes voters do not know what is to be done with property of an entire street. Do these 3 selectmen understand that they have potentially sold their town's future to an organization with a beyond problematic history in treatment of their own members and those who disagree with their policies? Have these 3 looked into other Scientology purchased buildings within other communities? Have those communities, or areas prospered due to these purchases? What has Scientology promised the town of Clearwater Florida? Have these "promises" been throughly vetted by an attorney. Are any commitments/promises being placed within an enforceable contract? As I post this comment the date is April 1st. My general impression of this transaction is that not all fools and foolishness operates on one day per year.

QUESTION: I have seen this in many comments, what about admitting professional textbooks used in Commonwealth police academies as evidence? For example, a MST textbook/video on how to investigate and secure a crime scene along with a manual/video on equipment that Commonwealth of Massachusetts LE should always carry (which probably does not include red solo cups, Stop&Shop grocery bags and a leaf blower) when responding to a crime scene.

I expected the mostly favorable tone of this report. I agree that there are small sections favoring the defense. However would Judge Cannone allow the jury to hear/read the entire report not just selections chosen by SP Brennan? As Lawyer Lee noted page 59 of the report (equates to page 64 on the PDF) calls a leaf blower "innovative use". The other evidence collection anomalies, such as red Solo cups and S&S paper grocery bags were called, "resourceful attempts". By the time that Canton LE had located Officer O'Keefe the snow had increased, but was not a blizzard condition. This tragedy did not happen on an isolated island or on a mountain peak. Per a certain map app from a certain site (which Judge Cannone seems to be aware of) the home at 34 Fairview in Canton is less than 2 (actually 1.4) miles away from the Canton Police Station located at 1492 Washington Street. If the Canton mobile units and even the Canton LE headquarters had zero evidence collection materials, expertise or even yellow police crime scene tape, wouldn't another local LE have such supplies and personnel? I find it difficult to believe that within the boundaries of the town of Canton no one ever un-alives either by accident or design. Where was an offer of assistance (in delivery of equipment at least) from Officer O'Keefe's employer, the Boston Police Department? Meanwhile the taxpayers of Canton Massachusetts, and perhaps the entire Commonwealth, have paid $198,000 for a report utilizing questionable methods (as in the demo interviewed) while issuing the expected "pat on the heads of LE" conclusions. I could have done this report for 2k (oddly the difference between 198k and 200k).๐

THANK YOU to Peter for continuing to try to make order out of this chaos. IMO the defense attorneys allowing the media coverage was essentially to get the world to watch. Admittedly that strategy is a gamble, but getting the Read trial to a not guilty verdict would never happen under current circumstances in the Commonwealth. With a judge who accepts all prosecution pleas and speculations then denies most defense pleas and experts has made the legal playing field as far from level as is an ancient cobblestone road in Boston. I do not see how this trial can end with justice for either Karen Read or Officer John O'Keefe.

I have always felt that science education and critical thinking skills has suffered due to years of budget cuts in education. Now we have proof. Does not matter whether the Norovirus hitched (note the western thematic reference) a ride with a local or an out-of-town human. I am not often on the CDC site, but I am pretty sure that first way to handle a contagion is not to disperse said contagion before science has entered the building and completed tests. I assume Tucson likes having tourists? Most likely (and allegedly) this contagion originated from a contaminated food source within the hotel or a lack of proper sanitation also within said hotel (allegedly x 2). Thank you to Sarah for violating her own HIPAA to solve the mystery and prove it publicly. BTW that thrifted material was indeed a great find and used to great effect. Even as a non-Severance watcher I still recognized Mark S. immediately.

I appreciated Bryon's very clear and passionate commentary. Usually I am alone shouting at my monitor (scaring my 2 cats) while Judge Cannone and SP Brennan metaphorically rip up the Constitution and several of its amendments. Of course when the defense requests a witness or makes a plea, the Judge has plenty to say mostly with the word "denied" inserted. I wonder if this audit will produce any positives? My faith in the auditors' skillset is somewhat shaken by their comments: the use of red Solo cups and S&S paper grocery bags were "resourceful attempts" while a leaf blower was "innovative use". Unless the town of Canton relocated to an island in the Pacific or onto the top peak of Everest, assistance was out there. Maybe a phone call to Boston PD (aka the employer of Officer O'Keefe) for certain critical supplies and personnel?

Harry and Meghan provoke visceral reactions. To see this conflict more clearly, remove the royal labels, treat Harry and Meghan as wealthy, famous, 2nd generation philanthropists using the charity to not only benefit those in need, but also raise up their own reputations as public figures. Sophie Chandauka projects as a very intelligent individual who is capable of being the chair of a charity. With admittedly the limited information that I have, it seems that her sole deficit was in not understanding the deficiencies of the charity's founder. BTW I agree with Chase Hughes, in that Harry and Meghan probably see themselves as victims. I hope that Mark Bowden's "dream" happens and (back to the royal world) that Prince William takes over the charity.

Thank you to Uncivil Law for doing this commentary. As I am an avid lover of fantasy and fiction, I too would like to read the future work that will be Mr. Brooks' appellate brief. The U.S. Constitution allows any individual certain rights irregardless as to the horrendous crime of which one has been accused of and even if one is convicted. I can accept that from the U.S. legal system. In the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, there is a defendant not convicted of the crime for which she is on trial, who has not been been allowed rights guaranteed by that same document. She has been denied a right to (all) counsels of her choice. She was considered guilty by LE only hours after the victim was discovered. This woman has been denied in some cases or has to fight in other cases for qualified experts. A basic right, the concept of "reasonable doubt" appears to not apply in this particular jurisdiction. It is understood that this is the practice of law, not necessarily the usage of ethics, but I still wonder. How healthy can a legal system be if it can be co-opted by one judge in one jurisdiction of one town in 1/50th of the U.S. ?

Thank you to Kurt for being so clear and so calm. QUESTION: what is the status of the incident from Lynchburg Virginia regarding the battery committed during a high school championship relay race? I believe that an assault and battery charge has been filed against Ms. Everett for striking Ms. Tucker during that relay race with a baton. I only saw two images of that portion of the race. Ironically even though it is not set in an actual time and place it took the latest incarnation of Snow White to make me realize just how bad costumes looked. Why is Snow White's love match (a "prince" of thieves to borrow a phrase) in a hoodie? This shade is totally on Disney, not the tailors, designers, costumers and certainly not on Rachel Zegler (who yes needs a quick PR course on how to navigate MSM and social media). Rachel Zegler was a big plus for this film. Somehow under Disney's watch they put what looks like a party-store 25 USD costume on the titular character in a movie that cost in the mid 200 million USD. Should he be defending himself in court years later? I will leave that up to the alleged victim(s) and the legal system to decide. The theatrical religious terms that Mr. Brand uses do ring alarms (as Mark Bowden said) with me. That could be my prejudice filtering his words. Is Russell Brand a very good actor definitely. Would Shelly Miscavige have taken control? How would this cult have developed under her administration? Would criminal behavior such as SA and Traff3ing still occurred and been covered up? I agree that schools need to institute courses from K - high school to teach and encourage the development of critical thinking skills. One of The Behavior Panel brought up an interesting point, that Jennifer McCabe may be familiar with police interrogation techniques. That assumption is 100% accurate. Jennifer McCabe's home town of Canton Massachusetts is a very interesting place. Most of the influential citizens are either LE, married to LE, related by genetics to LE, related by marriage to LE and owing their livelihood to LE. The Read case is difficult to explain. I would recommend viewing almost any of legal commentaries on YT for background. Without going into the mess that is the Read case, the basics are that Canton (in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts) is a relatively small town that is approximately 20 miles outside of Boston. Canton residents include several powerful families who have reached critical mass of instability. This can be best described with a quote by Lord Acton. The introduction to this video not only would have been extremely effective in addressing the jury on day one of court, but also contained editing, video work and a script that was superior to many recent Netflix docs that I have had the misfortune to watch. The Lori that I watched in this video has put her delusion of divinity and extreme religiosity on hold. More scary than any monstrous creature in a horror/slasher movie, is the one that hides in plain sight preying on the innocent and unwary. For legal purposes, I agree that the Lori we see here is sane. Physically/medically I do not know what she is or how she is. As an amateur (not trained in mental health field) my guess is that some part of her prefrontal cortex is not operational. She can probably define empathy, concern and pity, but I doubt if she could apply those concepts in any meaningful manner. This woman should never be allowed to live in an open society for the remainder of her life. She may even pose a danger to the mental health of other inmates.

I agree with the behavior noticed, but not with the stated conclusion of guilt. Richard Allen is being protective of his body. He is becoming irritated with LE. Richard Allen is losing control. However, Richard Allen has no history of SA that I have come across. He does have long term issues with depression. In the past, he has blamed himself for issues/events that he was not responsible for. While good at his job, he seemed to have no confidence in his abilities. Richard Allen has a history of being easily influenced by authority figures. While I am not ruling out that he is indeed guilty, there were many problems with the local investigation, his treatment while in custody, the conditions of his custody, his "confession" during that year in custody and certain restrictions put on Allen's defense by the presiding judge. Sound bites and click bait is not reporting, it is twitter. As for this wave of deportations, I sense it is being done so certain people can tell other people, look at how many dangerous people that have been removed? To circle back to Bill Burr, what is happening to human beings is analogous to MSM and social media's click bait and sound bites. On the surface the stats look good, feel good, until an intelligent human looks at the individual stories of those deportations to see a lack of due process for all. I recently learned that 2 of the 6 women on this flight were actual scientists; Aisha Bowe, aerospace engineer and Amanda Nguyen, bioastronautics researcher. Seems like a PR mistake to neglect to emphasize that there were 2 scientists on board. Jeff Bezos' company, Blue Origin has a decent idea regarding space tourism. However, at the moment only the 1% can afford the golden ticket to that particular ride. My hypothesis for these interviews to be released after the trial (aka trial one), was that they was the lesser of two evils and an insurance policy. While dangerous, publicity was the best way to be sure Karen Read was not treated similarly to Enrique Delgado-Garcia or Sandra Birchmore. I think that the Prosecution's clip show has an achilles heel. It cuts and pastes moments of an interview without full context. As for Brennan's opening, sure much more relevant and approachable than Lally's but that bar is quite low. Brennan's dramatized recitation was only missing that infamous bad novel trope, "It was a dark and stormy night...". What bothers me, as was said, what does the jury think?

I agree that a defendant should never give interviews. However the Read case is a rarity (although there is the Delphi case) in that there is rampant corruption and widespread incompetence at a very high level. Potentially, the stellar defense team supporting Karen Read should be able to counter these interviews. Should Read trial 2 again end in a mistrial. I would not be shocked to learn that the Commonwealth will continue to trial three. There is a major election in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in 2026. The position of DA of Norfolk County goes up for election that year. At that point, perhaps fresh eyes within the Commonwealth will finally find better uses for taxpayers' money. The Lawyer You Know did a commentary on the DA's initial statement concerning the Read trial to of the citizens of Massachusetts. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wEtHnlk5ylA It is a good video to see early on what Read's defense team had to counter.

Thank you for this clear concise recap. After trial one, my trust in jury deliberations and verdicts is somewhat diminished. My guess is that the easiest points for a jury to understand and/or be taught are "the basics": (1) reasonable doubt (2) Officer O'Keefe's injuries/cause of d3ath were in no scientific way related to a pedestrian vs. vehicle scenario and finally (3) make ABSOLUTELY certain that the jury understands the verdict form that they are given. However, a 2nd mistrial would not surprise me. Even if the best case scenario happens with a not guilty verdict the civil suit against Karen Read will most likely proceed. As a civil case needs less direct evidence to give the plaintiff a "win", that is when all those interviews will probably cause the most damage to Karen Read. There is a Massachusetts anti-SLAPP law, Mass. Gen. Laws Ann. ch. 231, § 59H. However I am not sure it would gain Karen Read, anything more than extra time before the civil suit discovery phase would begin. Ugh, this is all such a mess which probably began in a drunken brawl...IMO.

Aidan Kearney (Turtle Boy) with whatever anyone thinks of his style of reporting, stayed the course and found the truth. His reward has been harassment, indictment and jail. Experts on some channels are adamant that a defendant should never give interviews. This is absolutely accurate...in probably 99% of all cases. IMO, I believe MSM became the lesser of two evils for the defense team in the case of Karen Read. The identity of the other "evil" can be left to speculation which would probably be more on point than๐๐ Breenan (aka Brennan) can speculate. There was no indictment in the case of Sandra Birchmore until there was massive publicity. There are people in, or connected to power who have no shame, no ethics and seemingly no knowledge of the rights as outlined in the U.S. Constitution and its amendments. I hope that Read trial 2 ends with science, justice and the defense team winning the day. However, unless dismissed with prejudice there is still the O'Keefe Family civil suit. Perhaps Karen Read will be vindicated and returned to a life. No such conclusion, not even honor will be there for the life and accomplishments of Officer John O'Keefe.

I appreciate the strength of those able to freely give forgiveness. As was said strong negative emotions will do the most harm to the person feeling them rather than the object of those feelings. I can never thoroughly understand the pain of what the Franke children have lived through, especially the 2 youngest ones. Forgiving Kevin Franke is fine. However those deciding custody of the Franke children need remembrance as much as forgiveness. Can Kevin Franke be trusted to take sole care of 4 very traumatized children? Before he can care for others, he needs help to thoroughly come to terms with his own past actions and inactions. Aren't two of Ruby's sisters also family vloggers? Might be interesting to know what they think of their niece's very cogent and well-written presentation to Utah legislative hearing.
NOT POSTED: Possibly people are confusing the meaning of the word "forgiveness" with the word "trust". For example I can forgive a person who committed a crime. However trusting that same individual without question, without monitoring, would be unwise. A very silly example is in the PEANUTS cartoon with Lucy's habitual behavior of removing the football just as Charlie Brown extends his leg to kick. Yes Charlie Brown is the trusting victim. Yes Lucy is the long-time perpetrator. However, after countless experiences of Lucy's action isn't Charlie Brown just a little complicit? ๐

Posted to Uncivil Law (RE: Explanation of ARCCA's role in Karen Read Trial) Uploaded 04/29/2025
Unfortunately this case has so much back story, so much history of power unchecked, that making it easy for jury consumption is unlikely. Obviously it is the job of LE not the defense, to find those who committed this crime (good luck with that). Even if it were the defense's job, they have been hampered by the prosecution and judge who seem to be afflicted with ARCCA-phobia. The fact that Hank Brennan has quite the rep as an aggressive defense attorney (Whitey Bulger 2013 trial) is probably why the Commonwealth hired him. Karen Read was/is a convenient pawn. BTW to registered voters in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the position of DA of Norfolk County goes up for election in 2026.
MY REPLY POSTED TO A COMMENTOR: You have to turn over all communications because the prosecutor is trying to insinuate an excuse to exclude while insisting that he isn't. MY REPLY: I am beginning to think that it was not bad judgement on the Commonwealth's part to employ a special prosecutor who was well known in a recent previous lifetime as a defense attorney (June 2013 Whitey Bulger trial) capable ignoring ethics and manipulating the law in the service of his client.

I am early into this replay, but @17:33-50 when LYK said why didn't you (Ian Whiffen) ask Nick or Hank (as in Trooper Guarino or SP Brennan), you know them right? I just about lost it. Just a whiff (pun intended) of bias, maybe๐. Just joking as Peter always tries to prevent wild speculations about witness testimony. For visual/audio examples of "speculations", watch any video with Brennan speaking about ARCCA.

I have questions: (1) Aren't realtors usually on their feet and moving around? You could probably take photos, but touching? (2) Aren't there usually groups of people around (aka witnesses) with cameras at these open houses? (3) Why no cameras (really cheap to acquire on many sites) at entrances and inside the home? I sure wouldn't want any one messing with my former home and its contents before a sale was inked. My guess is LE knows exactly who and where this person is. I think that it is a paperwork issue as there has to be probable cause to approach and get a judge to sign off on a search and arrest warrant. FULL DISCLOSURE: I may have been watching too many trials for too many months on YT live streams. Hence, I MAY have been somewhat affected. Just call me "Ms. Obvious".๐คฃ

Two of the women were in STEM, the others were there because of their fame or contacts. Whoever ran the PR for this trip should resign or be fired ASAP. Blue Origin's New Shepard rocket could have been so much more. Perhaps a way to encourage more women to enter tech fields. Maybe create scholarships. Make donations to small businesses owned and operated by women. Maybe something like that happened, if so I did not hear about it. So now everyone is grumbling about billionaire vacations and privilege. I have not seen Katy Perry's new touring show, but whether due to a lack of quality or just plain bad buzz about the space trip, it is not doing well. Leave it to a billionaire to make space travel seem silly, boring, problematic and entitled.

Full disclosure, I have probably become overly interested concerning the Karen Read (and Sandra Birchmore) cases. There is also the unresolved cause of death of Trooper Enrique Delgado-Garcia who was on police academy grounds in New Braintree Massachusetts when his injuries led to his death on September 13 2024. I agree that defendant interviews were (and are) dangerous. However this is a very strange case which needed publicity. Judge Cannone was the judge on Read trial one. She should have recused herself before trial one due to connections with witnesses in the Read case. She did not. Judge Cannone is also the judge for trial 2. She has shown a certain "leaning" for the prosecution side while scolding the defense for relatively minor issues. To get up to speed, I would recommend a watch of the pre-trial hearings from February, 2025 thru April 1 (yes the Commonwealth begin jury selection on THAT day) to get a quick impression of the major players. Conspiracy may not be the best word to use for this case. Corruption and incompetence are better descriptors of why Karen Read is sitting at the defense table for a 2nd time.

I appreciate Mia and Mama Maples showing that most of us will need an assist to figure out the geometry and stability of the conversions. I have seen demos on social media which make the process look SO simple. This is a great idea for a bride who wants everyone coordinated but still allow for differing preferences, shapes and sizes. Plus in a bridal party you have your own "village" of friends to be sure that you get it done. Perhaps just me, but if a dress or outfit requires a tutorial I am not on board. My IQ is not high enough to deal with complex geometric patterns and shapes in the AM (actually any part of a day or night). Full disclosure: on a cloudy day when I was a bit rushed, I ended up at work with one black shoe and one navy shoe.๐

I always enjoy Mark Bederow commentaries. Mazza's takes are on point. I can tell that Mark Bederow's patience with the twitter 'torneys (misspelling deliberate) is understandably frayed. It is likely that what actually happened to Officer O'Keefe will never be known. The utter failure of the Canton LE and MSP to perform their jobs competently, ethically and properly is the reason Officer O'Keefe's family will not get closure. I do agree that 99% of defendant interviews before a verdict are dangerous. From the moment of the statement "blame it on the girl" (Proctor?) was uttered this case became different. The only reason I can come up with for all these interviews is that the defense wanted to make sure that Karen Read's case was not hidden and not covered up. It is too late to save Sandra Birchmore and Trooper Enrique Delgado-Garcia. Perhaps ethics and the law can save Karen Read.

Replay crew here. Runkle and Rob were informative and entertaining. Even a fatigued Runkle has wit and wisdom. @5:46:00-5:48:00 Jen McCabe has taken fabrication to an Olympic level. Admittedly my opinion is affected by the advantage of having access to commentaries from some very intelligent individuals. As for the jury, I am not sure if Jen McCabe's unusual and sudden appearance of amnesia was as obvious to them. I will go for the middle ground with the jury seeing a possibly confused soccer (actually basketball) Mom who has the habit of being combative on even the smallest details when questioned by the defense. I do agree with Rob in that perhaps Jackson's style was not at A+ levels. However this trial is another kind of animal. There is a judge behaving as a defacto prosecution co-chair. As such the playing field for the defense is a steep hill not a level field. Sometimes precision and finesse is not possible with a more meandering format the only way to travel around and past a sustained objection by this judge.

I agree with Dave Neal. This is not condoning the behavior or "Hollywood"-ethics of Lively and Reynolds. This is analysis. Ashley's observations seems to be on point. I agree with Dave Neal, Lively has most likely convinced herself that she was on the right side in all of this. In a very brief analysis, I see this beginning as a bossy, beautiful, entitled person coming up against a relatively untested employer/co-star/director who made it clear that he wanted everyone to get along peacefully. I do not see a trial helping anyone's career long term at this point. No doubt Baldoni would (and should) get a financially healthy settlement, I am not sure if his professional life would also get a comparable boost. Remember "Hollywood"-ethics problem is not just Lively and Reynolds, it is the entertainment INDUSTRY.

For Travis Kelce, I am going with Occam's Razor for any muting or unfollowing reasons. There is enough REAL drama in our day-to-day lives AND attorney Bryan Freedman will probably try to subpoena electronic data (although potential privacy issues) from everyone within 5 miles of Baldoni since this attorney took Baldoni's case. "Cancelled" pod members will be just fine. I mean talk about being self-aware, look at the name of their podcast? Anyway calling a "pre-" or "at-" or "post-" (Coachella) outfit boring or worse is not a statement denigrating anyone's value as a human being. It is only an opinion regarding a literally superficial item, not an immutable character trait. Talk about drama! Unfortunately/fortunately (depending on your inclinations) Lively, Reynolds, and even Baldoni have become living memes. You see their image(s), immediately you think certain thoughts, go to certain conclusions. If you want to learn about, or experience actual drama, speculate about only having a Green Card or temporary U.S. visa in your actual/virtual wallet.๐

Legal experts keep reminding all of us that jury 2 will probably not have the opinions, at this point in trial 2, as do many regular followers of any of the law channels on YT. I seemingly cannot go back to that long ago time, when I believed KR might be guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. To jury 2 it is possible that any lack of efficacy or logic or even ordinary details from the prosecution's expert and civilian witnesses is not as obvious as it is to me. What I think that is probably more obvious to jury 2 is the quantity of objections by the defense to the prosecution's speculations being overruled. While Judge Cannone has sustained most prosecution statements or questions when objected to by the defense. After all, these rulings have happened SO MANY times, how could they not notice?

Jenna Miscavige's description is eerily similar to experiences in a prison atmosphere, not an organization (aka cult) which purports to save humanity. The only assist I can this cult giving is to one cult leader's finances. Considering political realities, I do not see that the illegally obtained (thru threats and intimidations) tax exemption from the U. S. government being rescinded anytime soon. I am so glad that the foundation exists to help those who have escaped their own version of 1984 (novel by George Orwell). When Larry Forman spoke his own commercial (in a format that was short and to the point, not annoying like those YT monolithic commercials), it gave me an idea. Thought experiment: what if this trial ends with subpoenas issued. Maybe issued by a certain federal agency. Or perhaps, taking a huge leap here, issued by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts due to the many "creative" responses made in June 2022 to the Norfolk Count Grand Jury. Would Larry Forman/his firm represent any individual(s) who were indicted concerning lying to a grand jury or during either of the two Read trials? What about Kerry Roberts concerning her problematic testimony in Read trial 2? With my zero knowledge of legal ethics, perhaps this question should only be asked and answered in the abstract, without naming a potential client. Would a client that provably perjured themselves either before a grand jury or during a criminal trial be accepted as a client? If so, would the best strategy be (ALERT: irony) a plea deal?

I thoroughly enjoyed this conversation. Tom Kokonowski is intelligent, well-informed and not afraid to alter his opinion when presented with additional data (re: Jackson's style of cross of Jen McCabe). Those are an excellent mixture of traits for an effective criminal defense attorney. I am guessing that his genial attitude while genuine, may be a plus regarding opposing counsels or judges (who may think that they are opposing counsels๐) who possibly underestimate his skill set. It certainly helps keep the jury focused on him and not potentially alienated. BTW More David Harbour with a touch of Josh Brolin's chin than full Drew Carey IMO.

I would love to hear a discussion regarding confessions and juries. Why do 12 jurors, previously unknown to one another, accept as truth what one person not in that group can see as problematic? Confessions are evidence. In that sense reasonable doubt should still attach if the confessor is mentally impaired or highly susceptible to those who have power over them. Not evidence I know, but interesting in how calm most of the civilians describe themselves as being during that time in January 2022. Jen McCabe and others seemed to find Karen Read's lack of control annoying and irritating. LE even sent her in for a psych evaluation. Favoring the prosecution: (1) Judge Cannone has upped her game in a deviously clever manner in that she allows ARCCA and Dr. Marie Russell in for the defense, but let the prosecution bring in "experts" such as a meteorologist (cosplaying as environmental geologist/climatologist) and dog behaviorist PhD (trying to be an MD?). (2) Brennan appears to be a much better witness coach than Lally (shocker, I know). I will be more concerned if Kurt still has the same viewpoint several days into the defense's examinations.
Pinned comment from the 05/06/2025 Community page of Carl Steinbeck:
It's almost like they intentionally botched the crime scene so nobody could get prosecuted.
MY REPLY: The only thing missing from Carl Steinbeck's post is the emoji ๐. I know that corruption which allows the rights of the very few (aka certain Canton residents) to supersede the rights of the many (as in Karen Read, Officer O'Keefe, The O'Keefe family and the friends and relatives of both individuals) is present. However, after Gallagher's testimony on cross, I am beginning to think that the basic, generic, unfortunately ordinary incompetence is equally at fault. Maybe this is a win, albeit sad, for the principle of Occam's razor?
