I do not know Mickey Rourke's situation, mindset or anything beyond what I read on social media. With that admittedly limited data,  I consider the source of this comment regarding Tom Cruise coming from an unreliable narrator and thus both inconsequential and immaterial. This comment is not news, it is not information, it is clickbait.

Robert Meyer Burnett said it all, "this was joyful". I absolutely agree. Other superhero movies may have more gravitas, drama and cataclysmic themes. This series made me smile, portrayed a warm family and such community spirit that I felt happy for hours (well until I checked my news feed regarding our reality's crazy).

Oddly enough, when I was going through a serious illness for some reason one thought resonated with me. What Dory says in the animated movie, Finding Nemo..."just keep swimming". I would add the word "forward" to the end of that phrase. Depression can be a loop which starts and stops in the same place. We need to make it into a road reaches out in front of us so that we can just keep going thus exiting that loop. Thank you Cathy Hay for sharing your experiences with all of us.

Not the most informative, intriguing or fascinating closet tour, but Luke's calm clear commentary made it worth watching. Luke has said this on several occasions, but I also love a closet tour by a celeb who can give histories, personal stories and obvious respect for the designers and the creations. Obviously this was not that tour.

Harry was born into privilege. His mother died when Harry was at a very transitional age (12). Had Diana lived perhaps Harry would have acquired more real-life skills. At this point, he is wandering around trying to find his place in the world. This should have occurred almost 2 decades ago. As for being a life coach, well beyond former princes or former celebrities, (unless Harry is going back to school) that would be where his strengths as a life coach would lie.

Regarding the Girardi mess, the California State Bar Association can choose one of two responses, "stupid or liar". I am guessing they will instead try to go after the attorneys in the Girardi Keese firm without reorganization and ethical cleanup that the bar association desperately needs. As bad as the behavior and ethics was in the GK firm, they could not have keep this pyramid scheme going for so long without help, lots of help.

I agree with Taylor. Buy a few classic pieces for the you that is now. If there are changes later there can be corset belts, obi-style belts to make the item fit. Go easy on (very short) cropped tops, at least until the baby is eating regular food. This is a journey, complicated by the new normal, some sleep deficit and a few body changes. After all, whether a new SO, a new baby or even a new pet...just ride the waves and let it take you to home.

I disagree with that report stating that there was a lack of malice and ill motives. Evil isn't just the big scary person doing horrific things, it is lack of competence, intelligence, training, empathy and most importantly evil (or malice or ill motives) is doing absolutely nothing to help those in great need when you literally have "to protect and serve" stenciled on your vehicles. This whole thing nauseates me.

I would love to have a dress combining floral print material on the last dress matched with the silhouette of the string/ruched French inspo dress. I have to be very careful on the sizing for Asian garments as I have a wide rib cage along with some extra quarantine pounds. I recently bought a bustier/corset type top on Amazon in a XS-S size. It fit, looked great, but the original size label was still in the garment, it said LG. So Lucy is very correct, always check the body dimensions not just the size number. I am living in U.S. where there are sizes like 00, 0, 2 and 4 internationally are more like 2, 4, 6, and 8 respectively.😳

Potential topics:  (1)The Rust shooting resulting in the death of cinematographer, Halyna Hutchins seems to have dropped off the news feed (at least my news feed). Status of props' master, production company? (2) Any wrongful death suits filed regarding the Uvalde murders? (3) Ghislaine Maxwell, is her current mailing address (I hope) a federal prison or is she free on an appeal? With the wealth of the Maxwell family, I would think the civil suits with her as defendant would be massive.  

Sorry I cannot think of any funny civil cases. My past fav would be the kerfuffle regarding former name of Kim Kardashian's SKIMS company; "Kimono". Whatever we think of her and family, they do provide, at least some of the time, comic relief.

I agreed with most of Luke's opinions, except that I LOVED that full length gold lace gown. I think that it only needed accessories to make it shine. Maybe give the model's hair having some height with perhaps a visible gold hair barrette or earrings echoing Ukrainian folk-art and under the gown's sleeves perhaps fingerless gloves made of lace with gold threads embroidered throughout the gloves?  Full disclosure, I can go a bit too Boho on my outfits.  I appreciate the honesty of HauteLeMode. Honesty accentuates the love and appreciation when the collection is a creative success. However "proof of life" regarding Luke still would be nice to have 😉 .

Dave Chappelle making jokes about a segment of the population that until recently has not been welcome in all venues or treated equally by people and institutions is problematic. However, not sure I would rail against either venue for removing or adding Dave Chappelle to their slate of events. It would be more helpful to keep a watchful eye on our state and national (U.S.) senators and representatives so that SCOTUS doesn't plunge us back into a less open time period.

If put under extraordinary pressure (my extraordinarily short statue and the garment's extraordinarily long length), I will sew a hem.😉 Oh save (aka alter/resew) the Marianne dress, love the material...maybe a formal coat? I wasn't eight when this movie originally was released, but I do remember seeing Xanadu (1980) as a child. I was fixated, even entranced. I drove my family crazy with my off-tune singing of the movie's title song around the house (along with sliding "aka skating" on my home's wooden floors in my socks).  Basically I was doing what younglings from 2013 were doing to their families concerning "Let It Go" from Frozen. Ah, memories. LOVE this game btw. What about playing, "Was it Great, or Were You at least 8?" Lots of movies I saw as a teenager that I will never admit to liking or even seeing could fill that category.

I liked this way of looking at GOT. I disliked the last season so much that I have avoided any rewatches. When I did watch, while I appreciated the occasional gown/armor I never thought about the part that costuming had in regards to the impressive world building and cohesive traditions that the costuming enhanced.  This was a fascinating analysis of the fashion of an imaginary world. I know that time has been spent on the series "The Wheel of Time", I would love to see another imaginary world's fashion analyzed. Have you done Dune (both movies: 1984, 2021 but not necessarily the early 2000's series)?

The state can punish individual officers who are reckless, incompetent or badly trained. This will not prevent another tragedy like that of Corey Jones. More expansive changes are needed. The fact that previous errors in judgement by this officer did not automatically result in additional training before the officer could resume duties is a defect in this police department. Following official procedure is probably something that a first year cadet learns and should remember. Obviously not this particular former officer whose status now is that of a convicted criminal.

I live in the U.S. While we do have problems with eating (infamously the EU stated that a certain fast food sandwich outlet's bread did not qualify as bread, but cake) properly, I wonder if the fact that we rush the purchase, prep and even the eating process is part of our problem? I can claim no knowledge beyond tropes, traditions and patterns of the "average" resident of France or Germany, but the traits listed in Justine's video seemed to align with my general impressions. 

SO SO sorry about young French citizens wearing socks WITH sandals. I expect that of my fellow residents but the French, mais non!

Just listening to the innumerable errors that Haley Paige Gutman made, caused me to sigh, groan and shake my head. 

QUESTION:  As long as it isn't bridal gown related, my impression is that she can use her own name? It would be ironic and a minor poke to "the suits" if she could write a how to/how NOT to  book on handling the early years of being a creator (designer, artist, writer etc.) regarding setting up a business along with not signing anything without legal advice. Since she made just about every mistake possible, why not get cash from this debacle? Not sure her lawsuit is as expensive as Amber Heard's is, but it has got to be at least 6 figures at this point. I guess the real question is would she would actually listen to, and follow the advice, of an attorney...this time?

There are so many money issues and tragedies that surround this family. Sounds like a bad movie with the tale of a family with old money, power and influence except that all these incidents happened. Reminds me of the quote, "Power tends to corrupt; absolute power corrupts absolutely." by Lord Acton (John Emerich Edward Dalberg) on 04/05/1887. I mean not even an autopsy when the housekeeper died, really?

If I could watch only one fashion designer's show for the rest of my life, I would choose Iris Van Herpen. Her fashion literally looks alive. Demands (rightfully) one's attention. Could I afford it...no, could I wear it properly...no, but I will always love to look at her fashion.  I actually liked the silhouette of the coat. I would have made the graphics less human more fantastical, but then she is the famous and creative one not me.

I admit it, I thought this TikTok trend might lean towards the stupid part of the question posed in the thumbnail. This trend is absolutely not stupid. The commitment to a theme and obvious highly unique and innovative use of everyday, even ordinary, items into something extraordinary and fantastical warmed my little fashion heart. Of course, the informative and highly educated commentary elevated what might have only been a run of the mill avant-garde wannabe show into something that touches us all, in our minds, hearts and souls.😉

I agree with Dr. Grande in that Will Smith has again shown a lack of self-understanding regarding the slap incident. Mr. Smith needs to go off all social media,  close his accounts. Will Smith failed everyone that night, from those who received an award of a lifetime at the March 2022 Oscar's to anyone who revered or looked up to Mr. Smith as an example of honesty and maturity. If Mr. Smith wishes to communicate with us via social media, then he owes everyone a specific explanation of why that night, in that place, at that time, he chose to give into all those impulses that most of us have to ignore in ourselves every day.  The Will Smith that I respected would have done nothing, said nothing, that night. The next day the Smiths should have taken out a "full page" notice in news media indicating that he and Jada would be making a large donation to National Alopecia Areata Foundation and American Autoimmune Related Diseases Association without any mention of Chris Rock or that (basically) lazy joke.  Sorry for the rant, in a world with pandemics, incompetent governments and global conflicts, I am getting very tired of celebrity melt-downs.

I loved the snide, snarky comments in the upper left corner of the screen during the U.S. questions. I live in America, have learned about the electoral college and I still do not thoroughly understand the concept. I like the idea of "packing" the U.S. Supreme with justices who may not be alive. If so my wish list would be Felix Frankfurter Jr., William Brennan, Thurgood Marshall and of course Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Sam has it on point, that the object of U.S. senators and representatives is to stay in power for as long as possible, I would add, any way possible. BTW had a bit of a giggle when Sam confused William Barr and Aaron Burr...or was Sam making a point about former U.S. Attorney General (during the administration of "he will not be named") William Barr's rep?  If so Sam, you have my "vote" for political humor well expressed.

This incident happened on live television and has been all over social media thus exposing many of us to the image of an adult acting like a child. We all have anti-social urges/internal anger which most of us sublimate, do not act out. I do believe Will Smith is sorry that all of us have been negatively affected, that his career has been negatively affected, that his family and friends have been negatively affected, but is he sorry for his behavior (the slap, not leaving the hall immediately) that night in March 2022? I do not see that in his behavior or body language. I wish him well, but he needs to stay off social media for much more than a few months and examine why an adult lost complete self-control and how he will rectify/improve his future behavior.
